Small WAFFLE/rant on knock on effect of major sports event.

The UEFA Champions League final in Madrid caused an unforeseen change of plans and inconvenience.
You might say "tough!", but business is business, and is money and prosperity which pays wages and keeps the wheels of industry turning.
An European tour of major clients had been arranged well in advance and all necessary bookings made.
At the last minute (two days beforehand), Madrid international airport informed that the stopover by the company jet was cancelled, as they had given higher priority to late bookings in the private aircraft zone for football specials.
So our aircraft was only permitted a touchdown, taxi, disembark to transfer to limo's, then take off; not even refueling.
This meant an extra stop in Newfoundland before crossing the Atlantic, then, at Madrid, dropping off passengers, then continuing to Barcelona, where capacity was not exceeded.
So now, a train journey is needed from Madrid to Barcelona for the folk to get back to the plane, to resume the European tour.
Time is money, and can never be wound back.
Saturday was, in any case, a very successful company event, in Madrid, with open day for customers, some coming surprising distances, even from the Far East.
Plenty of grub and booze, a band and much socialising; even a "workshop" for the kids.
Selfies are now the thing, so the celebs (no, not us) were being pestered for snaps capturing for posterity on phones.
We were flattered to receive some small pressies from our US friends.
Being easily satisfied and not a great fan of "noise", I enjoyed just sitting with a glass of something watching the impressive vultures soaring high above, close to the mountains,
A good time had by all!

Oh, and LGN did her bit perfectly, there and back.

Sounds like you all had a great day and glad to hear that your Z is behaving herself.

So Stewie, you've had her a while now and you are obviously well versed with the odd car her and there !

Whats your thoughts on the Z, yours in particular ?
