Just got my 2nd RCZ (GT 200 Black with solstice onyx wheels). First one went back to Peugeot after a month with an unfindable engine fault. Upgrade wheels look really mean. Love it...

Very nice!! I love the black solstice alloys...nothing else quite like em on the roads. :) Hopefully you're experiences of RCZ number 2 are more trouble free...I'm sure they will be! Enjoy!! :)

Thanks. Sure it will be. Was K+N worth it?

I'd certainly say that it's a worthy modification for the money. Source one on eBay and your talking 30 odd bucks. (There's a very useful illustrated thread detailing how to fit it and the exact part number. Takes around 15 - 20 mins to fit and most of that is scuttering about with screws.) It has made the engine a little more perky and responsive and I noticed the difference between mine with it fitted and a demonstrator that I recently had the use of when mine was in getting the feline kit fitted.

Very nice jamjar

I don't suppose you're from the Swindon area? I saw another RCZ exactly like yours yesterday in Tesco. :eusa-think:

Yep, dealership had the car back several times, each time they thought engine prob was fixed, each time problem returned, in the end the problem still couldnt be found and Peugeot HO wanted to replace whole engine. I refused this option and was offered a replacement car. Wasn't a good experience overall, but must commend dealership and Peugeot for the way problem was eventually sorted.

Sounds great customer service - I had a Vauxhall which in 6 months spent more time with the dealer than with me - all i got offered was a free service. Was told dont expect a replacement car! Fine not a problem... i buy a new car every 9/12 months so i decided for the 2nd time to come back to Peugeot and I'm loving every day.

Just have to find reasons to keep taking it for a spin.

What was the nature of the problem? Misfiring? Power loss? It's Interesting (but dismaying) to hear that they still haven't got to the bottom of the various THP problems. You'd think they'd have worked out how to fix them by now. Good that they caved in and gave you a new one though. Hope you have better luck 2nd time around.

Hi
Fault came up on dash as "Engine fault repair needed" car then entered limp mode (no turbo, standard timing etc). Car stayed in this mode even after rest and restart. Car ran perfect before fault. Dealership/Peugeot tech swapped out many parts with a donor RCZ but couldn't identify problem part, hence the engine swap suggestion. Well chuffed with my new one and thanks for the "good lucks" everybody.

I guess the process was a painful one, having to deal with all the faults and wasting time in the process.

First time though I am hearing a full car replacement from any maker. Good for you, and well done Peugeot UK. All other Peugeot distributors in other countries should learn from Peugeot UK.

Hi KKRCZ
Yes, wasn't a great experience, but I had dealership picking up my poorly RCZ from my house and leaving me a lend RCZ 200. Then they needed lend RCZ 200 to swap out parts with my poorly one so they sent me a really nice diesel RCZ. Had the aftersales manager RCZ for about a week. Can honestly say the dealership really wanted the fairest outcome for me. Just took some time and a little patience.
