Peugeot recommend engine Decoke!!!

Hi all I have just had the dreaded engine fault needs repair and Limp mode on !! after diagnostic its gone now but Peugeot say it need a full Decoke at a cost of £ 1000 !!! its a 200 THP Petro engine 52k miles . yes I do mostly short journeys which wont help with carbon build up but really??,, Heard about Terra clean booked in Tomorrow they say will do an engine flush first then put camera up to see what needs doing so could cost Anything from about £100 to at most £ 400 if its completely blocked all over inside of engine !! im Told I should drive it harder or at least give it a good run out often I would like to know your views on this especially mechanics .. cheers all. and also I hear Peugeot are stopping production of the RCZ !!!!!!!

Took car to a terra clean company they so far done engine flush with oil change and was ok for a fast paced 600 mile round trip down south , but then the other day engine light back on and limp mode again , was a miss fire on cylinder 4 !! plugs changed coil back on cylinder 4 changed then the battery died !! new battery and now semms ok !! I almost did the un thinkable and test drove a Toyota GT86 ... forget that its non turbo very un responsive and you have to thrash it through the gears lol !!! so im keeping my 2nd rcz now going to get the wheels done matt black and roof arches too !!!!!!
