Peugeot need to offer more colour choices

just wait till the spring there should be some changes filtering through to this forum of new colours :thumbup: I for one rczownwer :thumbup: would go for pearlescent or opal white (if no extra paint colours are added) as i dont like any other colour in the rcz maybe the mercury grey maybe :eusa-think: as the colours stand the whites show up how wide the car really is and i know you say its common but i aint seen many up in glasgow 6 at the most just because you see them on a forum dont mean there that popular on the roads the last time i saw another a rcz on the road was before xmas :wtf:

if you want your rcz to be different from the rest there is other avenues to go down as i said wheels/grills/wing mirrors/arches but not the plastic wrap at what £3000 :lol: :lol:

As I'll be buying secondhand then it'll have to be one of the current colours so I think it'll be mercury grey. I've yet to see one in real life yet though. I thought I liked the red until I saw one in real life. :eusa-think: I'll want a grey one with the sortilege midnight silver wheels and I haven't seen any for sale with that combo yet.

Don't get me wrong, I like them in white, but I'm a clean freak and simply don't have the time the wash it every day to keep it looking tiptop. As I said, I've owned a white car before; never again! :!:

I don't understand why you think white gets more dirty than any other colour. Not so in spring, summer or autumn. As I've said before, mine only gets washed once a fortnight and its driven every day. Stays just as clean as any of my previous cars have done. I'm on my second white car now and I would have another tomorrow.

Speaking from experience of a black RCZ I noticed that the car stayed far cleaner after I had detailed it properly (clay, polish then wax). Granted the lower areas do get dirty in the winter rain/snow but that's generally only after a week or so of running it around

My last car was red and I have to say red is probably my favourite colour on a car and then white. You can't beat the look of a freshly waxed red car I don't think. With regards to which is easier to maintain, its a difficult one. If you were to follow the same processes for both, then I would say they would be almost the same, but white may swing it for being a bit more work to maintain. Mainly because white shows up every tar and iron contaminant quite easily so does need to have this attended to, at regularly periods. It doesn't really matter what colour the car is (apart from possibly black as it tends to show dust almost straight away before its even got chance to get dirty), as long as time has been taken to prepare the paintwork properly and then polish and then apply wax or a sealant. They should both look the same and more importantly, be equal in what you have to do to maintain them.

Most red cars nowadays aint red there dark orangey in tone vauxhall red,audi red,ford,fiat,etc,etc only toyata vw and honda offer true red paints its a original red the rcz would definetly not suit a flat paint red with chrome arches :thumbdown: :thumbdown: disgusting looking i feel the metallic paints are very suited to rcz shape and style. Maybe louder in your face metallic colour 2 max would suit more PEOPLE :eusa-shhh: i would like to see it a medium blue metallic paint a true blue like a sapphire blue

Yea the VW's tornado red is very nice ! Since my immediate neighbour is going to renovate his house (pulling it down, rebuild from ground up, i expect LOTS of dust), i wonder will red or white hide the dust better ?

So will moving homes :lol: Dust is dust and there is no escaping it. Listen to this every summer were i live which is 15 miles from grangemouth oil refinery when the wind moves in a certain direction ie most of the time towards my home the winds bring a by product from this refinery ie............a light orange dust and no matter what colour your car is bar it being beigey orange SAME COLOUR AS THE DUST :lol: it looks as bad and the rcz roof is black and i have had 2 red cars previously one with a tango tint Fiat Exotica Red and one true red Milano Red From Honda full of swirls even before i first washed it :thumbdown:

I have read all of this with interest and my conclusion is as always totaly unbiased :eusa-whistle: :lol:

But it's gotta be Opal White first, then Pearl White, obviously both colours should have the 19" Onyx Solstice wheels sitting on each corner, and perhaps with the front lower skirts in black to finish off.
Now, where have I seen that awsome combination before :eusa-think: :lol:

My last car was Black, which was IMO the hardest colour car I have owned to keep looking nice, far harder than white, as for red well its ok but it does nothing for me on the RCZ, if picking red then it has has to be a rich dark and shiney red, something like the Milano that Jassy had on his Honda, I'm not too keen on any of the grey colours either, even though I had initially picked Shark Grey but altered my choice a few days before finally selecting my spec, as for black, too much high maitainance and it fails to show up the stunning lines of the RCZ , IMO

For me certain colours can actually turn a stunning looking car like the RCZ into a plain bland car that just blends in with the rest of the traffic. :thumbdown:

The cost of certain finish's is not the be all and end all, colour and combination is the key

So Opal White it is then :dance:

I concur. I came past a black RCZ yesterday on the ring road in Leeds and didn't even notice it was an RCZ until I ended up alongside it at a set of lights. It just looked like any other Peugeot - in fact I thought it was one of those small CC models (207?). :shock:

I'm not sure I like the grey now either since seeing a couple in real life. I think both sets of pics by djf and jolund that I linked on page 1 of this thread are heavily photoshopped to look like that because the mercury grey doesn't look as eye-catching as that when you see them for real. :crazy: Here is a more 'real life' set of a mercury grey one with the same wheels as Jolund's - doesn't have the same 'wow' factor does it?! The wheels look more 'matt' there (and in real life) whereas Jolund's photoshop version shows them with a fake glossy shine on them. :eusa-think:

Out of all the colours white suits the RCZ the best I think, but living at the end of long muddy road it would drive me crazy having to clean it every day to keep it looking good so that colour is just not an option for me.

the more true to life photo of the mercury grey rcz as you say looks filthy to be honest and the wheels are covered in brake dust/grime i do think the grey alloys will be very shiney and grey does hide dirt better than most colours but not Muck :lol: no car does.White being a no,no your only left with red or grey.
