I have noticed pics of a few RCZ's (seem to be GT manual), with the Peugeot chrome letters missing from the left rear. However the RCZ badge is still on the right rear.

Anyone know why?

Please don't say they forgot to put it on or it's been in a bingle.

I find it interesting.

Cheers.

It's be de-badged?
That's quite popular with the GT86, as Toyota went a bit.. badge mental on those.

Here in Spain a few years back, you were quite likely to lose a few letters or a badge to the oiks whose hobby seemed to be collecting them.
Our Mondeo suffered at the hands of these vandals.

The trend was quite popular with owners of cars that looked more or less identical, with only the badge giving any clue of which was the better model.

Park a BMW 318 next to a 320 or better, and you would be hard pressed to say which was which unless you look at the badge, so 318 owners took them off.

Then people realised that some cars look better with no badge, so the trend continues.....

These are troubled looking men. He's most likely sharpened the VW circle.

Anyhow, I digress.

Schmaltz.

That's what it is. Ever since my first car, I would do some personalisation thing. Not outlandish.

So as my RCZ is missing it's Pug badge at the rear left, I'm gunna put this badge there.

schmaltz all right.

That’s certainly a different badge :eusa-think: never seen that one before, lots of owners prefer to de badge and it does give a cleaner look, but that’s the thing with RCZ ownership it’s all about personalisation

Ha. Took possession of the RCZ today. My wife and I have loved this car ever since we saw it at a Pug dealership in 2010, when we purchased our 207cc Sport THP150.

The RCZ is in such great condition. I emailed to seller and told him it is the best 2nd hand car I've ever purchased. Am I lucky.

Oh, by the way, the Peugeot letter emblems were in the boot in a plastic bag?

Never even driven one before, such was the trust.

And, not disappointed. It handles very well; sounds great; goes great and is very comfortable. Not to mention the kudos it brings, as RCZ's are very rare in Oz.

Soon as I got my hands on it, this morning, I spent three hours caressing it:

Oil change Castrol Edge 5W30
Oil filter change
Engine flush (Nulons)
Subaru SA459 (see thread on carbon build up in Drivetrain.)
Fit K&N air filter
Replace pollen filter
Replace spark plugs
Replace wiper blades
Replace fuel filter

Most of the filters were in excellent shape, but I wanted to do my thing. Spark plugs (so important in the Prince THP engines), were originals (40,000 kilometres). Yup, they needed changing. I replace plugs on my THP150 every 20,000 kilometres.

I'm still in shock!
