Apparently the clutch has a fault and needs repairs so Peugeot UK have looked at the problem and Peugeot France are coming over with parts to fix the clutch.

My dealer says that never in 22 years have they ever seen this happen (visit from France), probably due to it being the first prob on the RCZ

symptoms for others to watch for are.. noise/grating feel when pushing clutch in while in gear, (no noise when in neutral)

fingers crossed all will be wel, I'm into the third week without my car now !!

Right, France engineers have been with lots of parts, scratched their heads and gone for more parts !!!

there is a danger that Peugeot are going to have had my car longer than I have !

Anyone here know my rights, do I really want to accept a 2000 mile car with all these repairs? when does it get to a point that I can insist on a NEW RCZ replacement?

I think I would be talking to the garage about a replacement, certainly if they have not fixed it by now, also I would speak to Peugeot customer service about it so it's registered as a problem that's still outstanding.

well I popped in to see my car last night, there's a huge box of clutch parts all have come off my RCZ, apparently almost every related part to do with the clutch has been changed and the noise just won't stop.
Peugeot France have been using stathascopes (spelling?) and other monitoring equipment but just cant find it
More work next week so I have to trundle around in this 308CC for now.
Oh as a gesture, the dealers have repaired the stone ding in the door panel for me which was nice of them (least they could do I guess)

Still no news on the paint issue effecting all RCZ's though (streaks running under the mirrors down the door panel) it appears other peugeot models have a rubber seal between mirror and door, this is ommitted on the RCZ causing water ingress which then runs down the door over a period of time. Mine was delivered to me with these water marks and they simply will not polish out.
Check yours folks!

I've just checked mine - no marks visable, plenty of dirt though.

What colour are you running, if it was delivered with it then I would say it's something to do with the application, have you spoken to the garage about it.

You are not having much luck with this car are you.

Surely to avoid these marks you just need to make sure that when the car is washed that area is dried properly. Even resort to using a hairdryer if needs be to avoid the water marks.

Did you have the Supaguard protection applied to your car? It could be that these marks are underneath the protection in which case it won't come out by polishing. The protection would have to be totally removed and then the paint polished to remove the water marks. If it still remains then it sounds like a paint defect. A QD spray should be able to remove water marks if they are on top of the protection.

Well, the dealer (and I guess Pug Francais) have admitted defeat and asked "what would I like to do"
so, depending if they can source another GT for me (and I guess I'd be silly not to wait 2 weeks for a new Reg)
or its money back and I go get the new Megane Coupe Convertible.

Hi Vass - Id go for a replacement RCZ everytime. The new Megan CC is nice with the all glass roof etc but the inside really really lets it down. Ive not driven one but for me theres no comparison - I just love the RCZ

I would think they would be able to source one for you considering all the upheaval that you have had.

Let us know what happens.
