Peeking at my RCZ through dealership window!

Teaching is not a job where you can answer your mobile phone just because someone calls you. So Friday at 14:00 when I received a call, I missed it. 15:30 came and I forgot to check who called me to return the call. The caller called again at 17:30 but I was teaching after-school lesson - call ignored. I go home, check the number online and it's my salesman. Dealership is closed and re-opens Monday. I drive by the showroom windows and there it is, my lovely RCZ all locked up inside!

At least this Monday I will be awake in the morning and alive with excitement!! :)

Hahaha don't we always have a habit of wishing our weeks away until mid-terms and holidays though? :D
Nice to meet a fellow teacher as well. What do you teach? I teach Maths and Physics in Gibraltar.

We do that!!

I teach quite a few subjects and a few which I don't think exist outside of Scotland. I teach Modern Studies, History, Geography, Leadership, Scottish Studies and a few other alternative curriculum classes to those that are disaffected.

I assumed that all the MK2 RCZ's came with rhe Black arches? Clearly not. So what is the ruling on when you get the new Black arches and when you get the original Silver ones?

The black ones are an option RON. The silver ones remain standard.

I see, I see. I thought teaching various subjects in a UK school was the norm only in private schools but I guess England and Scotland are entirely different in that regard as well. I did a Science PGCE and I know in an English state school, I'd only be allowed to teach Science as a result. Here in Gibraltar though, I'm primarily a Maths teacher due to need.

As for my RCZ's arches, please note that the "European" Peugeot is very different to the UK Peugeot. Here we don't have trims and everything is optional. The black arches could only be obtained with the Black Pack and this also included the black mirrors, black grill and black brake calipers. The issue was that the Black Pack cost €800. I wasn't keen on paying that just for black arches, so silver they stayed. The black mirrors were only €80 extra though and I think add a nice touch.

I sat inside today. I didn't want to leave. Tomorrow we sort out the papers and I take it on Wednesday (once its registered with the government/police) and they've checked it over. So yeah, two more days but everything is now sorted.

Nearly there, nearly there. Today I signed the loan contract and everything is sorted besides the registration, which should happen tomorrow. Hopefully I leave school tomorrow and get into my fresh, new RCZ!! :D

Quick update: The dealership didn't receive the document required to release the car today. The document is the CoC (Certificate of Conformity) for EU standards. Shame - no RCZ today. Perhaps tomorrow...

Today was the day...!!!
I got a call from my salesman after school finished and I started my walk home. I quickly turned back and he drove my RCZ to my school to pick me up. I've been "playing with it" all day...
It has gone dark and I've taken no photos so more to follow tomorrow when I capture some daylight photos outdoors! :D

I have to say this though - it is FANTASTIC. I love the car!!

Re: Peeking at my RCZ through dealership window!

Only one day of ownership and every time I see it parked while walking toward it, my heart skips a beat. It's absolutely beautiful and a joy to drive. I captured some photos of it this morning:

I'm still trying to get used to everyone looking at the car as I drive by. As per the usual Friday night, Gibraltar was chalk-full of police officers with speed cameras all over the place (some people enjoy abusing the 55 km/h speed limit here) and despite me not breaking any traffic laws, every police officer's head turned to look my way.
