Hello!

I've been investigating a lot on the subject.

My RCZ MK1 (used) came with an aftermaket chinese android unit. It works well except that it sounds awfoul, and also don't have a way to set the time on the clock.

I've seen that with the correct canbus decoder, you can get it to work via the android unit settings.
My unit has te PSA RZ-15, which makes the stalk sound controlls work, but nothing else. Can't set the time. I bought a PSA RZ 01 which (with luck) will arrive in a month. Surely it won't turn on the jbl amp but maybe...idk...With that supposedly, you can set the time and have the stalk controls.

Also some Coneccts2 work for this. AFAIK, the Connects2 Pg007.2 work with the rcz, BUT, it doesn't turns on the JBL Amp.

I contacted Connects2 support to ask and they responded that no unit of them works with it. The problem with the JBL Amp is that it's activated via a CANBUS message, which apparently no aftermarket canbus decoder can do (apart from the original RCZ audio units). If someone has more information on this, it's hugely appreciated!

Also found the same info from a seller (the connects2 PG007.2), it stated at the bottom that work with the RCZ not amplified (so the non-JBL sound system)

So, future plans:

First, I'll reinstall the original unit RD45 (which supposedly has bluetooth, at least the monochromatic screen shows the bluetooth not found error because of the current android unit).
I may keep it that way and just use a phone holder for google maps and spotify. Will see if the stalk controls can control the music from spotify.
I lose the rear camera with this, but well...at least the parking sensors work fine.

My next option is to buy another good quiality android screen, and change the JBL amp. It will not be cheap for sure, and not even sure how that would work....

I'll keep you updated with my journey!

(So far, a freshly installed battery died after a day, yey! I'm working on it...after having that solved, I'll install the original unit and see how much different is the sound and how the stalk controls work, or maybe they don't over bluetooth connection, hope they work like any bluetooth headphones commands. If someone can confirm, great!)

I recoverd the clock settings!! And the center clock works fine, what a delight!

I was wondering if I the stalk has play/pause but it doesn't. The button on the side goes to the monochrome screen selection...but the dial makes it easy to turn down volume quickly.

The PSA RZ-01 I bought is still in travel...I can confirma that PSA -RZ-15 makes the audio stalk buttons work but it sounds HORRIBLE,. because it was not activating the JBL amp, so super confirmed that the amp was/is working but not turning on. Also couln't find any setting to set the clock from the android unit with the PSA-RZ 15 (which I seen is possible)

I already bought an adaptar for a future 7inch android, and probably will have to remove the JBL amp and change for some other amp.

I did it myself, wans't difficutl with this unit as it sits kinda sitting flappy. Note: whengoing back, installing the the top buttons + audio system + sunglagges holder?, put the three units one on top of the other encastrated. If you put the bottom din last, it won't fit because it has the brackets to the bottom, so put the 3 things altogether. The top buttons units will leave you some space to wiggle. Other than that, it's really easy and can't mess up the way the brackets go, and 2 of them are color coded mathing the wires.

Avoid this android unit, It looks horrible and cheap in my opinion (the tops buttons are not OEM and are flimsly)

I'll keep updating.
