Oil top up? Regular diesel engine oil?

Just a quick one...took mine back to the dealer for a long list of faults to be addressed...and from out of the blue, the screen is displaying a message, telling me to top up the oil.

So...and slap me if I'm being a numpty...is that regular diesel engine oil? Only having poured a small amount in, I'm a little confused about the line on the back of the bottle I just bought about it being for engines without a particulate filter? Does that mean I shouldn't use regular oil? Not sure what the alternative is and wouldn't want to go knackering anything after just getting the thing back after a week with the dealer?

hi, no dont use regular oil-use total activa total quartz ineo ecs - b71 2290 synthetic anti popution 5w-30/ any other could invalidate the warranty. i could only source it from main dealer in our area.

OK thanks very much for that. Just phoned a different dealer and arranged to take it in for an oil change tomorrow. Thanks again for the advice.
