Hi
I purchased my GT 200bhp THP RCZ (as a 2nd owner) April 2014 from Peugeot dealer. 8 days later I had Turbo failure, went into get me home mode shortly followed by RAC recovery; Turbo replaced under Warranty. 2 months later High pressure fuel pump failure, another RAC journey to the garage. Replaced under warranty.... 6 weeks later "Oil Top Up...." checked and the level wasn't even registering on the dip stick, please bear in mind in between this fault and prevoius fault I had been back to the Peugeot garage and 'they had checked all levels..nothing to worry about, everything's fine". So how do I loose 900ml of oil in 6 weeks?? "It's common on the Car...you need to check every month.." But I am only doing 800 miles a month and the hand book states check every 3000 miles??!? I had driven only 2,400 miles from purchase and so many issues. Topped up oil, correct grade etc, which I now carry in the boot just in case.
Next warning 4 weeks later "Coolant level". Checked and what do you know...it was below the min level. Where has it gone in 4 weeks since it was chekced (or was it actually checked)! Topped up with Peugeot ready mix coolant (which accompanies the litre of top up oil in the boot) and I checked again 3 weeks later and header is 1/3 full! Now I have an oil leak...so back in the garage on Weds 10th.... I purchased an extended warranty...thank god! Since April I have driven 4k miles....
I had an Audi TT roadster prior to the RCZ and now I am seriously wishing I'd never let her go. I am looking in auto trader for a replacement TT. RCZ although a stunning and stlyish car, a pleasure to drive.(when its working) i've had too many issues in just a few months that I can't trust her anymore and she is very stressfull motoring......sorry RCZ but you have to go!
