Oil filter cover won't come off

Use old rags underneath the housing use a 27mm socket & extension bar gently turn the top to release the pressure around the seal then unscrew using steady turns of the ratchet never use force when removing & replacing this cover as they can split under force which will knacker the threads there are a few cars on ebay if you run into trouble?
