 Look what I did....

Does anyone have any suggestions about where to get this fixed? Luckily it's only the bottom part of the bumper so I dont think it will be too costly to fix...

Hi blue, unlucky with the scrape, a skilled smart repairer should be able to get that fixed for you, i would recomend speaking to your dealer and seeing who they use for there preperation!? I would think about £150, otherwise it's a bodyshop!! - hope that helps. cheers

Thanks bee - this was totally my fault, no other cars involved so I wont use my insurance (its gonna be less than the excess anyway). I've been lucky tho as its only scuffed the bottom of the bumper. The grill and the black part of the bumper is undamaged. Basically I scuffed the bottom of a wall (I thought I was in reverse!!!! lol I'll never criticise women drivers again! lol). Will shop around but had a smart repair to my last car and that was a pretty good job. Oh well....

Hi, I have had a quote from chipsaway to fix the chip on the rear arch, the only thing stopping me from going ahead was the bit where he said he would have to clear coat the entire panel, and my mind has gone to a place where this will then not match the rest of the panels on the same side of the car?

Mlbblue can you give any additional details as to what they did with regards to the spray job? Or am I being a bit of a worrier?

Binky, they're a bit out of your way, but if you have family or friends in W Yorks area where you could go for a few hours, this guy does a fantastic job and has a good rep round these parts.

I reversed into a scaffolding pole in the pitch dark a few years ago and put a massive dent in the back of my Astravan at the time, it was right on the crease in the centre of the boot and so couldn't be pulled out like 'normal' dents and needing filling and paint. The guy came out to me and did it at my house, took him around 4 hours from start to finish (sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, fill, paint, more paint etc) and cost me £75 which included the entire panel needing a new clear coat. I can find fault with things that aren't even faulty, but even I couldn't find any faults with his work, the colour match was spot on under both natural light and artificial light (street lights). You'd never know there'd been such a huge dent there a few hours earlier.

I'm not really an expert when it comes to how they do it vs. a paint/body shop but I've had no problem with colour matching, sorry I can't help any more

Thanks for the reply Guys, I think I was just baulking at the fact that the whole panel would have to be clear coated again.
I work in Pudsey, Leeds so will give them a call if only to get a second opinion.
