November Photo Competition

Hi Everyone,
First post but been lurking since starting the search for an RCZ, thanks all for the awesome advice. Picked up my 2011 Black beauty about 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier.

After a hard driving 1600km weekend, one of the shots my talented wife took of the new car with her Canon 5D MkII, 17-40mm EF Lens.

The RCZ was fantastic, comfortable, well equipped, spacious and not bad on red dirt (check the red tyres)!! I should say we are in Western Australia so choice and spec is limited, a new RCZ costs $62k (about 38k Pounds) so there are not many about. Most fun cars are V8 Utes.

The background of the shot is the Southern Ocean, taken near the Southern tip of Albany.

Hope you like it.

Now back to work removing a gazzilion bugsplats.....

Great photo with a great camera (same camera and lens as me) :)

Did your wife use a long exposure?Certainly gives that effect from the sky.

Do you have a MkIII 5D RCZ1? I'd love to get my hands on one of them!!

I'm afraid I don't - just the 5D Mk II !
I don't really have a need to upgrade to the Mk III. The II does everything that I need :)

Thanks everyone.

RCZ1- I have checked with the technical director, no long exposure it was 20 mins away from sunset so the sky was awesome. Will post another one taken even later. She also agrees on the Mk III, not enough new features to upgrade.

I have 1 or 2 good locations around here :D and a willing photographer, the ideal reason to go out in the car every weekend!!

Yodoofus - beautiful scene captured and as you say awesome sky. Look forward to seeing more pics. The Mk II is obviously in good hands :)

Don't need any excuse to drive off in the RCZ every weekend but with scenery around like that, who can blame you.
Have fun, the two of you :)

The MkII is still an absolutely awesome camera loaded with features. I am a big fan of Canon and think they're edging out Nikon these days.

Sorry guys - just worked out how to post a pic - technology challenged ...
At least I didn't have to get the polish out for this photo but not sure I will beat "the windfarm" snap - beautiful light and just up the road from me - why didn't I think of that :eusa-think:

That is a great shot!! Really strange for us to see as it is 30 odd degrees here. Didn't realise it was so cold in the UK! Before Oz we lived near Saffron Walden.

Is it just me, or does it make your RCZ look like a Lamborghini?

Thank you Yodoofus - we would welcome some of your 30 degrees here, although not that cold yet. Picture was taken in January this year - just loved the shape it made.
Small world - I am in Cambridge, very near to Saffron Walden as I am sure you know.

No way, I'll keep my eye out for you later then as I'm doing a drop there, Hinxton, at about 6. Small world eh?

If you have another vehicle to hand, or two, you can use their headlights to light ;-)
