Just got home tonight and was putting the car in the garage. I have to fold the wing mirrors in order to get the car through the door of the garage. Anyway, folded the mirrors but not fully concentrating as I should have been and I've caught the folded drivers wing mirror on the edge of the garage  . It got the woodwork of the garage, not the brick, but it in the dark I can see its taken a bit of paint off in 2 places. Only small areas but I'm so angry with myself  . They are new wing mirrors too, only two weeks old.

I will be able to have a better look in the morning but I think I will be able to do something with them. Its just so annoying that now the car is not in mint condition.

I really do feel for you, but hopefully you'll be able to touch it up and it will be as good as new, but if it's not its a great excuse to go for the carbon fibre mirrors they do look good on white

Yeah jassy, they are still operational. Luckily I was only going slowly so hopefully not too much damage - the dawning light of day will tell the true story.
Its just so sickening but I suppose at least its not my alloys.

Well in the cold light of day I have removed paint. Its only about 1cm wide and some fine scratches and I know it doesn't sound much but to me its like a flashing beacon. I'll get some touch up paint on it and some machining done and hopefully it will be hardly noticeable.

Not good but hope you get it sorted! I have been a good boy and dinged mine YET, although managed to scuff an alloy in bloody Sainsbury's stupid car park

I picked mine up with a slightly scuffed alloy as it was an ex demo on a great deal...

Oddly this has somehow lessened my worry over the first ding....No, really!!!!!

BUT I feel your pain and know it'll be sorted soon as.
