NG4 Sat Nav update? How?

Hi all, quick couple of questions re the NG4 system.

1. How do I see what version of software/firmware(?) I have
2. How do I update it to the latest?
3. I believe the update is done by disc - do I get this from the dealers? Is it expensive? Is it difficult to do?
4. Do I lose anything during the update (e.g. music on the jukebox)?

1. Press SETUP select SYSTEM select SOFTWARE VERSION mine is ng4_D_N42b_N42.01

2. Acquire a disc from your Peugeot Dealer

3. The cost of the disc is literally pennies. I get mine FOC from my dealer :thumbup: No it's not difficult, even I can do it!!

4. No you do not lose anything.

Simply insert the disc follow the instructions on the screen, you must leave your engine running for the duration (approx 30mins) Simples :thumbup:

Mine is ng4_D_N42b_N42.01 too.

So is that the latest version?

I spoke to Peugeot about acquiring a disc earlier today, and as per the other thread - they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about...

I am not aware of any further upgrades to the one we both have. Some dealerships really do make me so annoyed by their absolute and total level of ineptness. Why do they not know what you are talking about for crying out loud. They ought to be able to say, "I will check what version you have installed" and then say that "you have the latest" or that "an updated version is available and we will install it for you." Hell they make me angry :twisted:

I just got my 63 plate GT200 today and eagerly tried the above to find out if there was an update available, but I must be missing something, cos when I press setup, there doesn't appear to be a SYSTEM option ?

Where am I going wrong?

Be aware that there are 2 sat navs.
What Ron wrote is for the NG4 (which is 2 DIN slots large) and it appears that you have the other (RT6, single DIN).
