Hi all :)
Totally forgot about this forum :/
Almost 3 years ago now since i bought my 308gti 272 magnetic blue! :)
it was a low milage, one previous owner that had served it every 5 000km (y) and it had just passed 20 000km when i bought it.
Atm it has been driven for 55 000km and ive been taking care of it very good. Serviced it every 10 000km.

Its pure joy to drive it  no engine modifications done. part from regular servicing i have changed brake pistons (godspeedbrakes.uk) pads and brakefluid.
1 igniton coil and a set of new michelin pilot sports tyres :)

Lets see if i can read up and be of any help to this great place again.

Why do you service it at 10.000 klm when the previous owner did it at 5000 Klm if its the Prince engine do you know the score about leaving oil too long in these engines service intervals are a load of tosh with all these variants higher mileage means faster wear & tear when worn out oil is dying a death for overuse in a direct injection engine

Hi Pedro,
The service intervals is every 12months or 15 000km on these cars. Previous owner was extremly pedant with it and as it was brand new i guess he liked to take extra care.

Every 12months or 15 000km (whatever comes first) the following is to be replaced at service:
oil
oil filter
compartment filter
air filter
spark plugs

There are other things like gearbox oil + additive for the LSD and brakefluid that needs to be changed every 2 years. Prolly some more stuff that i forgot about atm.:)

Anyway, it's an absolutly brilliant car to drive! the grip (on dry roads) is superb. It takes proper, committed buffoonery to reach the 308’s limits. The speed at which you can take bends full throttle is quite scary!
When driving normally it's very refined and efficient. The ride is fairly firm, but also comfy.
The engine has so much power, you can change gear early and still make huge progress, max torque at just 1900 RPM, like a diesel, so you can floor the throttle in any gear at any speed and you have almost instant power 😎

On the downsides there are a few:
the infotainment leaves alot to wish for. I've upgraded mine with and iOS/Android carplay (wireless/wired) unit that I enjoy very much. I've also replaced the original speakers (they are a joke) and added an 10" DLS subwoofer in the boot (the boot is pretty huge so there is still lots of space for shopping bags etc)
I've de-chromed it so everything that was chrome is now black instead. The original 19" rims servs the winter tires and I bought a set of blacks 19" OZ racing ultraleggera wich suits the car perfect imo :)
The front calipers are a joke too. chromed pistons is a huge flaw and its just a matter of time before they rust and sieze. This will happen to every 270 gti at some point.
I've read Peugeot been kind here and helping some owners but over here in .se they are usually so bad at goodwill that it's pointless asking.
I bought new pistons and seals from godspeedbrakes in the .uk and as they are stainless that issue is now sorted :)

will post some pictures at some point.
