Hello everyone enjoyed reading your posts feel like I know ABZ, Lainey, Ron etc by now.

Bought her a month ago, after passing one for sale in Dorchester whilst out on a trip to Chichester. Knew I would stop for a look on the way home, and the rest is just history.

For some time my darling wife had said she was getting a bit bored doing the short commute to work in "that OK but rather old man's car" that was our diesel passat. The third one in a row.

I knew she would love the RCZ and after showing her a picture of the one for sale in Dorchester, we saw one for sale in Auto trader, at Howards of Yeovil nearer to our Budget and we rushed up there the next day and did the deal.
I really did not want to drive the Passat home but had to wait an excruciating 4 days to collect her.

I did not need or want a test drive but the salesman insisted, and insisted on coming with as my wife drove, me in the passenger seat, and 6' 4" of him somewhere behind on the 2 parcel shelves that are loving referred to as "rear seats" trying to be inconspicuous.
We laughed out aloud on the way home.

Anyway 50 yds into the test drive and wifey utters the deal clinching, mid life crisis busting, immortal words, " I feel 10 yrs younger already"
Job done!

Insured with Quote me happy, 2 x Adults + 24 yr old son £360. Tried Prestige Keep moving , but were much dearer.
See I have been visiting the forum!

Drives like a dream, looks gorgeous, 3 happy bunnies.

I thought I was just buying a good looking sports car, had no idea I would sign up to the detailing club, clay bars, carnuba wax etc, and washing almost daily! Hey Ho

Welcome to the forum and the joys of RCZ ownership...and the expensive world of detailing.

I'd have loved to have seen a 6ft4 salesperson crumpled into the back! That would have been a good time to start some hard nosed negotiations!!

Cracking image of your Z too. Love the image you have left of the salesman  Why do they insist on accompanied test drives these days? I haven't checked yet but assume that you have entered this image in the monthly photo comp? Hope that you get as much enjoyment out of your new car as I do from driving mine.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome and nice comments

I'll pass them on to the wife, who is the main driver, I am just the car washer and occasional weekend driver If I'm in credit with Brownie points ! lol

I ve only personally fuelled her up twice and unfortunately yesterday, trying do the best thing by using Shell V power nitro,
I used the diesel pump instead. (Our RCZ is petrol) at Taunton Dean services.
The V power diesel and petrol pump heads are the same colour !!!

Fortunately did not drive the car it was relayed back to a Peugeot Dealer in Torquay and I am awaiting a £200 + bill (inc fuel filter) to rectify my mistake. oops.

Yes 0058Ron I have submitted picture for June photo comp, just for the hell of it though, seen some super photos on here, from much better picture takers than moi.

So you too have now lost all the brownie points accrued, the same as I did on Saturday. Wife arrived back unexpectedly early from Ireland (450 miles) to find she was locked out, as I'd nipped off for a carry out curry. She was only sat in the back garden for 45 minutes  One very frosty Asian style curry

Oh dear AMG but yes I agree the pumps are very similar but the diesel has a black strip down the side saying "diesel". The good thing is you didn't drive it which could have made it even more expensive.
