Hi all.
I'm new to the forum having just bought myself a 2016 (one of the last made in told) RCZ 156thp.so hoping all the fiddly things on the production run have been addressed by the time she was produced.
She's got 42000 miles on the clock, came with full service history and runs lovely. The only worrying thing is a high biting point on the clutch which I negotiated for in the price.
I've since read a high bite is normal, is it?
I also want to change the head unit to android with GPS and keep all the functions on the steering wheel, reverse sensors and computer on the dash. Any recommendations on a decent spec one for this?
Lastly the silver roof rails have lost their sheen a little. Anyone else experienced this and how have they resolved it?
I'll take a photo of my new toy and post it shortly.
Thanks all for any replies I may get.

Welcome to the group.

Clutch - Some say they do seem hi, but as i have the z and a 308 (same thing), they both have same bit point, think its just a case of getting used to, unless its really high. At 42k there shouldn’t be any issue with the clutch unless its been…..
Head unit - I have an Xtron head unit in the 308, works with the steering wheel etc and improves upon the sound unit, though I opted for all the options and greater memory so paid more than I should have. if you want more details I can fish them out.
Rails - mini polisher, fine cutting polish, ceramic coat (x2) and a couple of coats of Autoglym Xtreme and I get roughly 6 months of shine without touching them save for a wash.

To keep it decent, change your service schedule to 6k for oil and filters as the book or preset dash intervals are way too long.

Hi welcome to the group. On head unit, I take it yours come with the built in flip up display. If that's the case, your option is a little bit limited. I can't find the link but someone put this here Aftermarket replacement radio/navi system with Android? you can add this functionality to your existing screen by effectively using it as a display which you can switch to car play/android auto to your existing one using a switch. I did consider that, however, I think it might be in the region of £400-£700 + install. It's a bit niche and not many people have done it. I went with a cheap option of getting one of those Carplay/Android auto unit mounted on a CD slot holder.
