Car is booked in Thursday..no way in hell I’m tackling the thermostat again it was a pig of a job:mad:

My local supplied and fitted a water pump, guide pulley, and new antifreeze (obviously) a few months ago for £250. I had fitted a new belt myself prior, as they are about a fiver. The garage are not specialists though, so you arent too far away in price I guess?

Labour charges can vary around £67 per hour is Estimated prices from dealers & indie workshops & takes on average 3 Hrs to change a pump which can cost around £32 - 45 depending on which one they use plus the belt so it appears about the going rate for the job

To be honest guys I think I’ve been over charged but when you have a water leak and needs topping up every other day especially winter time I was just glad to get it done….since they done the job hasn’t used a drop of water plus I now have warm heaters for a change…cheers for the input guys.

Glad you managed to get it fixed. My nearest independent Peugeot specialist is 3 hrs away, so it's either local garage or dealer. Which means cheaper but less knowledgeable or expensive but has all the tools/know-how required.
