Hi,

Wondering what price I should be paying for a Brand New RCZ 1.6 156 GT Opal White with just upgrade of Black soltice wheels ? what kind of discount should I be getting ? should I be going for Easy Guard or Tyre and Alloy cover as extra ? Also should I be taking out GAP on it from the Dealer ? also should I be paying for Road Assitance @ £120 ? bit confused in all these extra costs that have been added on ?

One more thing how long should it take to build and ship I have paid £500 deposit, if I decided against it can I still get a refund of my deposit ? as people on here I see have got a ex demo instead of waiting ? any help I am new to the RCZ and abit confused to say the least. :eusa-whistle:

You don't want any of those, so called "extras". They are a money making exercise for the salesman. Shop around on line, you can get GAP insurance far, far cheaper on line same for roadside assistance and definitely DON'T go for easy guard or whatever they are calling it these days.

It usually takes around 12 weeks from ordering to picking the car up. Obviously this can be more or less. Nothing is set in concrete. I think the deposit is non refundable but if you want to change it to getting a ex demo, I'm sure the dealer would sort something out with you.

You should be able to get a little discount or they may give your more for your trade in, if you have one.

Hi,

When I was looking to order mine there were still a few pre-facelift models in showrooms and there were some pretty good discounts available on those. Sadly there was only one automatic and I missed it. As auto was a pre-requisite for I ended up ordering new. It may be worth checking whether any of the old models are still around to get a good deal.

If you have a part ex to trade in the dealers will build some of their discount into offering you a good price on your trade in. The only way to get a true picture of the discount is to sell your trade in seperately. I found that there are opportunites to sell to garages and of course you can always try the webuyanycar internet traders. For example, the local Honda dealership is buying my Civic when my RCZ finally comes.

Waiting times do seem to vary, I ordered my new RCZ 3rd week in March and still do not have a firm delivery date, though I am told it is to be built in May. I think 12 weeks is pretty realistic...... but it feels like forever!!!

Hope this all helps.

DON'T get Peugeot Protect!! It's a waste of bloody money! Use the money to buy a pressure washer and the products from RCZ1's guide and do it yourself! The one thing I would invest in is a spare wheel!

You will wait 3 months for a new build personally specced rcz, its the same with all car manufacturers  ,l got my ford focus ST from stock, luckily enough it had all the options on it available, but to order one :wtf: l would have waited 4 months, so its the same all over the industry. My other choice in car before buying the the ST this was a Audi 1.8 TFSI-S line-Sportsback with options it had a 6 months+ waiting list   .

But my advice would be keep trawling the internet looking for the new rcz facelift, there will be hundreds of demos of this car just about to go on the used car market as they only keep demos/carsales fleet cars for 4 months, these cars are then released to the buying public at great savings  A bit like Ford Direct
