Bought as a bit of a project, it's a bit poorly at the moment has jumped the timing chain so suspect valve damage as a min, think the idiots that replaced the timing chain did not torque the flywheel bolt and it loosened and 'vanished' ! head off tomorrow so we will see what's what!

The profile image is me and senior management on the NC 500 couple years back in a BMW E36 conv (it was raining)

Good luck with the car, sounds like you are used to car DIY so hopefully any issues you can deal with .
They are a very underrated car so sure you'll be happy with it.

Welcome 🙂
Sounds like a lot of work ahead, but could be the ideal time for an overhaul. New chain tensioner & guides, fuel pump, water pump, belts, etc. All if necessary of course & providing there's no serious damage lurking.
