I thought I would post up some information about some new products I've been using recently, which have impressed me.

Car Chem have really started getting some well deserved recognition of late on Detailing World so I decided to give them a try. They make all their own products, which is an added bonus and even make products for other people that are then rebranded and re-labelled, but at considerably more cost than Car Chem sell them for.

The product that first caught my eye was their Taylor Made shampoo. I had heard great things about their car shampoo. Highly concentrated, it will last a long time, yet cleans really well AND it contains no gloss enhances so won't have any detrimental effect on your wax or sealant. What I love even more is that you can taylor the shampoo to suit you ie
- choose the colour
- choose the scent
- choose the name for your bespoke shampoo
- AND have your own name put on the bottle

Here's mine

I also tried out a sample pot of one of their waxes - English Oak. Durability is 3-4 months in winter. 5-6 months in summer, which isn't bad at all for a wax.
It was really nice to use and one small swipe of the applicator over the wax spread over half the bonnet and we all know how big that is! Left to cure for 10 minutes before buffing off with ease.

Someone I know on Twitter also sent me some samples of Car Chem products to try out. One of which was Hard Shell. A spray wax sealant which will last up to 6 months, I believe. Combined with one of their waxes, it will last even longer. I tried it out on the roof of my RCZ and it left a lovely shine. Couple of sprays that spread easily and buffed off with ease.

The thing I like about Car Chem is they produce and sell great products at very reasonable prices.

Here's my bonnet after using their wax leaving a lovely deep gloss

I've also tried a couple of new waxes from Black Magic Detail. They make luxury waxes, which I have to say are just so easy to use and leave a fantastic finish. They do sample sizes too, which judging by the amount I used, will do 10 cars or more. The sample jars look very classy.

Revolution is a wheel wax, which I applied to my alloys (which are coated with Gtechniq C5). The wax left a really glossy finish and was a breeze to apply and remove. Durability is 4 months.

On my paintwork I applied Helios wax. It's nice and oily, which is how I like my waxes and again spreads really nicely and buffs off easily after curing for 10 minutes. Durability 3-4 months.

Some pictures of them on my car, giving a lovely wet look.
