Hi all. As a recent RCZ owner it's been interesting reading these forums and learning the history of this nice looking car.

Independent car dealership next to office had a fine example of a 200 GT come in for good money that I simply had to secure it for a little bit of fun.

All standard as far as I can tell but has had 4 owners and 47k on the clock. Would like to dyno it as it seems faster than specs suggest.

Well looked after and very much fun to drive but at an aging 6ft plus I look a complete wally getting in and out of it :)

Still nice to have one of the best looking cars in the car park. Been a while.

When the sun gets out and I polish it up I'll get some snaps but for now here's one the car sales guys took of it.

2013 mk2 though I've since private plated it to add a little timeless quality to it. Not looking to hold value and there's a few of them kicking about you still rarely see many of these on the road. Only about 1.4k registered nationally I see.

Charles

Hi Charles and welcome to the forum.
To say your Z has had for owners it looks immaculate in that picture. I had a GT200 which was very well spec'd and I think is probably the best all round of the models, though the diesel has the best reliability.
I work at Thirsk and pass two RCZ's on my drive up from York. I am setting up a Dyno run in York and it's £40 for three runs, which is really good price.
As verminator has already mentioned, we do have several drives out and meets through the year and everyone is welcome.
Happy driving and watch out for the permanent grin you'll end up with.
Cheers M....

Beautiful looking RCZ there  I can see why you couldn’t resist the purchase. Great colour combination  regarding the performance there is a chance your car has been re mapped but the 200 is quite a nippy car and many owners having dynoed them have reported higher figures than the Peugeot claimed 200.
I know you’ve booked Newby Hall but the annual Yorkshire meet is one not to miss and not a long way from you, it’s on the Saturday 18th May search meets and events and you’ll find all the details.

Thing accelerates faster than I can get through the gears. Way too many of them things.

Been on pickups and family estates for long enough compared to my youth of Ford Escort rally cars and RS Turbos.

I see the run on the 18th and currently not sure, as I only have a couple of months of weekends to chill going up and down the river with the boat until I get weekend busy with work over the summer, so my weekends are limited. Should be honoured I'm doing Newby Hall :)

I see some nice examples of the car in these forums and a good bit of interesting tech details.

The car was and is in excellent condition, so assume it's been well looked after for the mileage. Hopefully have a good one and at the price can't fault it.

Red calipers would finish it off maybe but only standard looking things so possibly not worth the hassle of painting.

More stuff to polish now... bad enough keeping the boat looking good for when I roll down to York where the posh boys live with the big boats :)

I've only got a canoe !
Living furthest from any sea coast in the Iberian peninsula, and the rivers here run in rock filled gorges, the need for water transport is nil.
However I have a couple of original oils of the Cutty Sark on my study wall.
My father took them in payment for some work done about seventy years ago, and the old chap ain't around to question.
Not sure if Sotheby's will be interested! :eusa-think:
