After driving 2 Peugeot 508's for the last 2 years (one written off by a 26 ton truck) I have taken the plunge on a new RCZ.

It's an ex demo car with 1,300 miles on it after 3 months. It's a 156 THP GT in Mercury Grey with Black Pack, Xenons and INtegral Black Leather.

Really looking forward to it, have been very happy with my 2 508's which is one reason I've stayed with the brand.

Welcome :)
I had a look round a 508 while my OH car was in for an MOT. They are huge, but really nice inside. I havent driven one though.

Yes they are big. My first one was a saloon and was rammed by a 26 ton truck across a road, through a hedge and into a field. Was a total write off, but I walked away with just a scratch from the seatbelt.

I'd only at that point had it 5 months and without hesitation I went and bought another one as the truck driver thought he'd killed me it was so bad. I replaced it with an SW and that has a full length glass roof.

The quality is excellent, the fit and inish inside is far better than an Insignia and when the press say it wouldn't disgrace a prestige badge, they aren't wrong. I've not had any warranty issues either of them. Mine is a 1.6 hdi and for a big heavy bus it does go very well.

I'm really looking forward to the RCZ though.

The Z is a great car to own and drive too. So no, you won't be disappointed with what has now chosen you. The boot is cavernous and the interior is a gorgeous as the outside.

One of the reasons I chose it was the boot space. I'm an Account Manager and it will be my daily workhorse. It wasn't improtant that I had rear seats, but a decent boot was.

So it wasn't that you was seduced by the stunning appearance, just that it has a huge boot to keep all your work stuff in. Have you located/been informed that there will be a rather nifty net to keep all your stuff from moving about in the boot? Probably still in the spare wheel well in a plastic bag

I agree with you there. I think Peugeot are making a massive improvement in interior quality.

I did hear on a review for the new 308, that Peugeot own the company that manufacture the interiors for a lot of the new European cars. Im not sure if thats true or not.

LOL, well OK yes I admit it. It was first anf foremost that it looked stunning, but it also had to be practical or it would have been a non starter.

Welcome to the forum Catherine

No wonder you bought a second 508 after that traumatic incident and you only walked away with a scratch! No better advertisement for it really.

Hopefully your RCZ will be less eventful in that respect. I look forward to seeing some pics :)

Hi Cathrine

Glad you made it through that crazy experience with your 508. I'm a ex Pug 407 owner myself, love the car but wanted something that looked a lot better and was Peugeot... So it was the RCZ. I too am waiting for a delivery of my RCZ (2011 though not new). It has only done 8k and is Dolphine blue. Hope you like yours like i know i will like mine.
