Hi,

Last year i bought my first ever car, an 2010 THP156 RCZ.

I already had the chain done, the intake cleaned (twice...), so now i'm already saving up for the HPFP which will inevitably come next.
I love the car, and i really hope that i can not only learn from you guys, but also contribute someday as well.

thanks guys! Its a shame that insurance is as ridiculously expensive as it is, they really think i'm about to park my "precious" against a tree or something....

Hi and welcome, dont worry about possible future problems just enjoy your car, I’m tipping your young because insurance is relatively inexpensive for the RCZ, I’m paying £200 fully comp with all my modifications added too.

Hello, yes you must be young in regards to the insurance. I'm only paying £220 for an RCZ R . Mods what are those 🤣 maybe I should hook up my 100bhp Nitrous kit to give the car a bit more boost.

Mine was a 1978 escort mk2 with plastic seats wind up windows and just a radio for entertainment
Would be worth more now than when it was new but I'm guessing it hit the scrap yard many years back.

My 1st car at 18 was a 1970 Hillman Avenger because I didn't like driving my dads VW Beetle, and my mum didn't like me on my Kawasaki Z750 going to work. Those were the days.

My first in 1965 was a 1953 spilit screen Moggie in which I had my one and only engine seize flat out (65 mph) on the M6 near Manchester.

I can still recall the smell of the leather in the car .

The garage I bought from fitted a second hand engine for £30 -mind you the car was only £50 in the first place !

Mine was a 1969 Mini 850. I bought it for £400 in 1976 when I passed my test. 3 months later the sub frame snapped & it cost me £480 to have it recovered & a new sub frame fitted.

They just don’t make them like that any more.

Btw, I paid £185 insurance fully comp this year, but that was part of a multi car policy with my Range Rover.
