I'm looking at getting some new headphones. Anyone got any recommendations or ideas? Ideally I'm looking for in ear headphones as i dont like bulky headphones but all/any ideas are welcomed and appreciated!

I think it's all personal preference
I buy quite expensive earphones for the family I work for ..
Instance they all go for the usual beats and personal I think they sound bad really bad
I had a set of denon cost me 70 pound has the most amazing sound
And I love music from classical to heavy psy trance ...
I almost biught one if these beats wireless speakers for daughter for Christmas
While was in cirrus JBL had a deal the sound was amazing compared to the beats
. Ago in it really down to personal preferences

That massively depends on which Beats headphones/earphones you go for. You get what you pay for with them...as with most things. The cheaper ones in the range are a little style over substance but the sound quality improves exponentially as you go up the range. They'll always be quite bass heavy though.

Anyway, good luck Renegade, you've a LOT to choose from!!

Hi renegade79, I prefer in-ear headphones and you can not go wrong with a pair of Soundmagic E10's.
What-fi award winners a couple of years running. You can pick a pair up for under £30 and compare in sound with other ones at more than twice the price. You get a full set of changeable inserts, depending on the size of your ear canal.also comes with a handy carry case to keep them excellent condition.
2 versions available one with in built mic, and one without. I prefer the ones without.
Couple these with a portable Fiio E7 dac headphone amplifier and you get an amazing sound. Or without.
Been using mine for a couple of months now and they sound better after ever use.
I find that beats headphones are slightly overpriced and are more of a fashion statement (that's just my personal opinion,no offence to anyone who like them)
Both available on Amazon. (Other reputable retailers are available)
Hope this helps.

Can there really be THAT big of a difference in headphones this small that you could justify buying the £1000 ones??

The ones i got came free with my phone (Sony) and i think they're great. Don't see how you could get any better sound from them.
