2012 156thp, only noticed whilst looking around for something else that the coolant LEVEL wiring plug (into the coolant expansion bottle) was not connected, had to hunt for it but once found it had what looked like grease filled up inside the end of the plug which has attracted all other nice rubbish to it

I’m guessing it was left unplugged (as Peugeot apparently advised people to do due to the faulty level sensor keep failing)

I will be picking up a new level sensor but need to clean this plug end out, I will get as much as I can out with an ear bud etc but what can I use to clean the inside of the plug with the terminals so it is scrupulously clean?

Was thinking brake cleaner? Good or not

Thanks

I used this stuff....

WD40

..but I think it would need a few attempts and some compressed air to clean that.

Brake fluid is very corrosive - I would avoid that.
