Oh dear, not good, but on the bright side you have the Big Blue to keep you company on the back benches. You really do need to avoid the kerbs as are wheels really do not like them at all.

I know its too late now but i always make good use of the dipping wing mirrors and reverse back to the kerb.
still it didn't stop someone driving into me and damaging one of mine  good opportunity to have them all repainted a different colour

alloygators. fitted the day after we picked her up. Every wheel has been kerbed at the moment so they have paid for themselves already. You get a little tool to scrape around the alloygator and they are like new again, until next time.

OO58RON I don't know how you get those MPG, we can only get 42 at the best with the HDI. Thats mostly short shifting at 2000 rpm.

I don't drive it hard, use only premium diesel and have nitrogen in my tyres. I know other members don't agree that these measures make any difference, but I believe that they do.

wont make a blind bit of difference unless you drive it REALLY just a garage gimmick

Maintenance of the correct tyre pressures simply must make a positive difference in my opinion and nitrogen assists in this endeavor.

while i could not agree more that having the correct tyre pressures is a must normal air is made up of 78% nitrogen in the first place. ;)

and therefore surely 100% will do a better job of it than 78%? It's what I believe as I have found that my tyre pressures remain constant now that I use nitrogen. Basically I'm too lazy to keep checking them weekly and have found confidence that with this stuff there is no need to. However I do accept that there are a lot of doubters and it could very well be a case of being conned, after all marketing has made a place on the shelves for bottled water :eusa-think:

I'm not going to repeat my thoughts on this (you know my thoughts Ron and have seen 'my' evidence). However, lee

Hi PeterRCZ, :greetings-wavingblue:

...with regards to "kerbing" I know the pain your suffering and have the cosmetic scares to prove it. At least 0058RON has kindly informed you that you can find me on the back benches sobbing over my identical crimes against my Z.

It did take me a little time to appreciate the finesse needed to not let the kerbs kiss my front matt black sortilege's. The rears wheels are fine as you can see them in the mirrors BUT those fronts are hidden under that steep yet stealth like front end. Self imposed rehab has helped ,,now I stay well away from those damn kerbs when manoeuvring and have not had a relapse ,,although I know its only ever a mere 'drive' away should I become complacent.

My name is: .the big blue and I'm a former sortilege abuser!

Big Blue you share my pain. It definitely helps to to share my grief

On a more positive note every time I drive the Z I'm grinning from ear to ear. Such a great car to drive and even to just stand and stare at !!

Hi' all :greetings-wavingblue: it's me from the 'back benches' seeking out fellow alloy abusers ..You know who you are even if its a secret kept between you and you your Z ! ..BUT if you turn up at a meet there will be no hiding it so confess now like PeterRCZ has done! FREE confessional & self rehab, I confessed on an open forum and now I'm cured ,,three weeks and not a scuff

Your right PeterRCZ (kerbed wheel/s or not) there's something quite special about the allure of the Z ,,it captivates not just its owners but also pedestrians AND especially those driving TT's who now live in the knowledge that their teutonic steeds now play second fiddle to the sleek & chic Z. The Z is also the preferred ride for superhero's, Batman and Batboy have been as seen in public and on this very Forum

Good Luck with the alloy rehab ,,you can do it, just remember your not alone and continue to enjoy your Z !!
