My Pearl White Pug From Singapore

The Supersprint exhaust is not in sg , preorder has to be made.. Calculated plus gst and installation will cost about $2k. My braces cost less than 1 k but if yours is the THP200, it would have already came with the original anti roll bar..

Just checked with jeep chee, an order would have to be made, around 1.9k

@KCRCZ are these ultra-racing strut bars ? If so, which components did you install and was it done at E-REV ? Is there a significant difference in handling ?

I am still awaiting a price quote for APi Coilovers, I find the rear suspension lacking and slightly uncomfortable

Regarding ECU tuning, I am talking to a local reputable tuner in the VW and MERC forums called Dr Hansonn who is offering a piggy-back solution with a custom map to preserve our warranty. Price would be around 1.5k IRC

Hey KCRZ tell me a thing you got the KeN filter alone, does it change a little bit the sound? and the performance? also you installed it? how do you open the box to put the filter? i got no idea in the screwdrive used to open it

thank you from Portugal.

@bloodlegna yuppa... those are Ultra racing Strut bars... basically all lower stabilizers front, middle and rear from E rev. Handling improved signicantly... but the THP156 has too soft dampers or coils that is still too soft... it rocks too much i reckoned... you think the API coils will improve that.. and will the API coils lower the car too much?

@joanfisio K&N filter i added on is just fantastic... The performance improve a lot... a sure must ...good job K&N ! My mechanic has the bended alen key to open up the box, it is too narrow a space for the straight drivers to unscrew the nuts. As far as sound is concerned, no changes that is too noticeable.

@bloodlegna did Dr Hansonn say how much horsepower and torque woould be improved? I believe it will not be tuned to 200bhp and 275Nm like the THP200... will it?

@KCRCZ wow how much did all 3 bars cost you in total. Sometimes during sharp turns I can hear little squeaks and creeking haha I hope the bars would help that.

Im curious as to how thick the ARBs in our 156hp are because the manual says there are both front and rear ARBs ?

From what I understand, the API coils height and firmness can be adjusted but pls contact horizon auto tuners or BMS racing to clarify bout that. price shld be <2k

Hansonn is unable to comment on the exact HP gain because he has not done a RCZ before but just gives the usual 20% increase blah blah. If i can get 180hp im satisfied !

Hi guys..

ok thanks I will go find out more about the supersprint exhaust.. Ya mine is THP200, so not sure if it would fit or not, as it states that the exhaust if for THP156.

Also, I've heard of someone who had his THP156 in SG get his car tuned to 200 hp using a piggyback soultion. Costed him 1.5k... So i'm guessing 200hp is highly possible!

@bloodlegna How does a piggyback with a custom map preserve our warranty? Meaning we have to take the piggyback unit out of the engine before every service/claim?

cheers guys!

@obicat. Yeah according to the VAGSG ppl they will remove the piggyback unit before servicing/claim. Of course that is entirely optional and up to you. Ease of removal wise, I doubt he has done a RCZ so he cant comment at the moment.

The supersprint exhaust sounds super sweet, when I get my next bonus it will be on the top list of mods to do :)

Ya me too... Can't wait to get a bonus from somewhere to fit in the supersprint exhaust ... And I guess I won't change the suspension system fear of it becoming too low and too hard. My experience with my previous car , is that I have to do twist and turns to cross a hump... And in some cases when coming up from a slope, they create a hump on the top n for sure you will hear the screeching from of the base being scratched. As for hardness I m not the hardcore super racer type, still want comfort, and power at my foot when needed, that's all. This car is still very much balanced with economy of 1600cc, good power, great comfort and super iconic design. Yes and a nice sweet purr each time you press the throttle will be great ...

@KCRCZ Are you gonna tune the ECU or try the piggyback option ? I think around 180hp would be perfect for the rcz haha

Sadly my fuel economy is not very good, currently about 9l/100km and im rather light footed hmmm..

@bloodlegna Nah dont think will doing any tuning fearing void of the warranty. My warranty is for 5 yrs 100,000km so not worth the risk. Are you going to tune it? So what'sare the changes that you have done so far?

Im getting 9.2L/100km with a medium-weight foot and 60%highway/40%urban

Also, I'm probably gonna go for this once my 2500km hits:
http://www.racechip.de/index.php?language=en

THP156's get 200BHP and THP200's get 252BHP..
wouldn't trust their figures too much but am guessing it should be somewhere near these..(I hope!)

@ KCRCZ was thinking of tuning it after my first 10k km, so far i've only done the air filter, headlights and dead foot rest. 5 years, which PI did you get it from ?

@obicat Racechip pro's figures are indeed impressive for the price of <$1k, just curious where are you going to install this ? Have you considered local options like TMC tuning box (182hp, 280nm)
http://www.tmcmotorsport.com/CarProducts.aspx

Theres a local dealer for the TMC tuning box. IRC, $900 including installation. More info can be found on the VAGSG forum !

I got my car from jack cars...

@obicat Wow 252bhp ... You can fly man with that kind of power .. Cooool!

Anyway I have checked with jeep Chee with rgds to supersprint exhaust, they don't seem to be able to confirm if there is stock. What's wrong with these people!?

@bloodlegna where did you get your dead foot rest, you need to drill it I down I believe?

@joaofsio, Yea the tuning box can be taken out and the car settings will remain as standard (this is typically done before sending the car in for servicing during the warranty period)

@KCRCZ oh Jack cars ! My friend wanted to get the honda crz from them before the COE went bananas. Which workshop are you using ? Mmm will jeep chee get back to you regarding availability ? I am quite irritated that low revs below 2krpm theres not much sound.

I bought the dead foot rest from dreamstore777 on ebay. They have not relisted the item yet but IRC it was around S$50. Yes it needs to be drilled down and i managed to get autofrance to help me with it :)

For polishing the car I am finding permanon very useful and painless ! No rinse wash + spray = shiny car !

@bloodlegna Yup Racechip does indeed post very good figures. They are the highest amongst all the "tuning boxes" available, which leads me to suspect that they are either fake or dangerous! haha.. I am going to try to install it myself, as it looks like just one plug to reach.. (if it gets too complicated, will just bring it in to some shop to get it fitted!) Yes and I have considered other options like TMC also, but RaceChip's claimed figures are just too tempting to ignore!

Also, did you go to Beacon Enterprise for Permanon to get your car done up? there is a Blue THP156 on the testimonial page! hahaha

@KCRCZ shame they cant confirm availability of the exhaust.. they probably cant get in contact with the reseller overseas.. heh..

Will go checkout the dead foot rests available too! been thinking about one..

@obicat yeah the shark grey rcz on the beacon enterprise website is mine. Received gd service from them so I decided to leave a testimonial :) let us know how the race chip performs ! The dead pedal footrest really completes the floor area imo and the eBay seller is trustworthy as they sent me a replacement pedal when the first one had some irremovable stains !

@kcrcz wow nice quads ! Can you share more info about it ?

Where is it from (brand), catback or turboback, LTA approval, any increase in sound, price and was there any cutting of the rear valence ?
