Awesome, some great photos here. must be a hobby on the side?

Well thanks Vass
Actually I am into my photography, but it was my husband who actually took these photos - so credit must go to him ! I was too busy sitting in the car, playing with all the knobs and dials.

I do plan to take some more when I get the car back in various locations that I've been thinking about.

Flipping heck RCZ1, your pictures are bordering on pornography for us RCZ owners :ugeek: .

I'm in full agreement about the sound system. Having had to drive a 207 SW for the last couple of weeks whilst my RCZ was "indisposed", the quality of the system in the 207 reminded me of when I was a kid and used to listen to Radio Luxembourg under my pillow in the wee small hours. Getting back into the RCZ was like my ears had just been syringed  .

Your car really does look fab. I've been thinking about getting the interior roof of mine retrimmed in a similar colour/leather to the seats (bluey/grey) as I find it too dark being black - I feel like I'm in a coffin. :sleeping-yellow: My 207cc was a creamy colour leather/material throughout, was light and bright and I had no problems keeping it clean.

If you want to try out your new detailing stuff before you get your car back, you are more than welcome to practice on mine as you wouldn't want to make any mistakes when you get yours.

As per my earlier post, my offer still stands (I wouldn't even care if you had not only been touched by the ugly stick but fully whacked around the head with it! I can always get you a Nicole mask.... :D

Gemini, I don't know where you are in the country but if you were fairly local to me, I would gladly clean your car for you or anyone else'e for that matter - I just find it so therapeutic :D

Is Wiltshire local enough? I reckon its ONLY about a 4 hour drive!

I can't think of anything more tedious than cleaning a car (except cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, going to work and visiting relatives).

My husband thinks I'm absolutely insane as I often get home from work and sit on the lawn pulling out the clover. I do this for hours - I tell him it's my way of winding down from a bad day at work. Bless him, he even brings me out a glass of wine or a gin and tonic. As we've got quite a large garden, I have absolutely no impact on reducing the growth of the damn stuff - it just makes me feel better!

Perhaps I could try hypnosis or something in an attempt to turn from a crazed clover puller-upper to an obsessive car detailer. It would sure make my husband happy as I could clean his car as well. He may even bring me out 2 glasses of wine then!

Hi Gemini
Sounds like I should have employed you to pull out the moss in me front lawn. Thought I would get some moss killer stuff which I applied but think I may have over done it a bit, killed everything, even partly took out the pampass grass next door. Apparently the ground now has a radio active life of about 1000 years  Should have let the mother-in-law walk over it, that would have sorted it - don't call her poison Ivy for nothing. Talking of which, she will be on Halloween duty soon....we sit her in the window with a candle under her chin to scare trick or treaters away, its excellant, she's cheaper than a pumpkin plus we don't even have to hollow her head out :D there is a similarity tho.....they both smell of pith.

Hello K
Yes soz on the delay girlfriend I've been in Cyprus for a while, got back last Sunday early hours....and the first job of the day was to clean me babe...excellant. I did get special permission from the boss and also had to do the washing and cook lunch to make up for it...but hey...I'm a modern man

Catching up on the thread of mails, sounds like your car is away having the interior done..blimey that sounds really unusual but how fantastic, I can't wait to see her when she's done.

On another note, I'm just running out of the shampoo wash you recommended so may have a look on line to see what's available.....but most of us on the forum rate you as THE Top Bird when it comes to detailing so would be interested to see how your new products come out.

My girl is still ringing me bell big time and always greet her out loud with "YOU'RE GORGEOUS". :D Washed her this morning before coming into work, reckon I qualify for Gemini's Wack Head School for Clover Pullers in Wiltshire....that'll be a girten then

Ciao

Been in Cyprus - well you are a lucky boy aren't you  Trust you had a superb time ?

Yes I'll let you know how I get on with my new products and how I rate them. No new shampoos though - I'm very happy with the ones I have - either Dodo or those nice Chemical Guys :!:

Glad to hear you're still very happy with your slinky girl. What time do you start work though? Isn't it too dark to be washing your car before you go to work on these dark mornings? Or maybe you have to wash your car in the dark because you are wearing your very tight lycra, whilst snow foaming, and its not a pretty sight and you're trying to protect your neighbours

Now get back to pulling the clover

K, I should never have told you about me lycra habit ;) I had been to the gym first to do a spin class, quick 1km swim :eusa-whistle: then back home so was all daylight by the time I got me hose pipe out. easy tiger!

Yes the Dodo stuff you recommended really does give a good liquid shine, will stick with it.

ciao for now :greetings-wavingblue:

Hi L

Yes, got Pearl back today. She's looking a classy lady now

I'm really pleased with the leather refit - couldn't be happier. I'll be taking some pics tomorrow when I've giving Pearl the full works :D
Been cleaning and protecting the leather today - so it saves me a job tomorrow  Climbed in the back to do the back seats - couldn't get out again. My knees were under my chin. I'm 5" 9 so it was a little tight :!:

Just be re-acquainting myself with Pearl today - I'd forgotten what all the buttons and dials did :!: Its been like taking delivery of it for the first time
