What's betting that wax never gets used  Would have been very interesting to see the process though.

It will get used, I promise. I'm slowly working my way through my most recent wax purchases however they are some waxes, which I won't ever use as they are collectable. The ones that are personal to me, will be used, particularly as they can be refilled when empty :)

Well I haven't anything nearly as exclusive as that but I'm planning on applying my some of my sample pot of DW's Durus this weekend. That's entirely snow dependant however!! We are expecting a big dump of it through the night tonight and into tomorrow. It's win win either way though as I'll be content to give the winter contacts a good run in that if I can't get waxing.

Well it's Valentines Day on Friday so what do you buy a wax addict? That's right - MIURA Best Of Show wax

My lovely husband has spoilt me rotten.

A brand new wax from Black Magic Detail (BMD). It is released some time next week BUT Stevie at BMD did a one off pour today, just for me, and I quote

"Yours is the very first ever Miura wax Kerry, they will be released later next week when we get the labels, we put a rush on your plaque so it can be shipped out for friday delivery"

In a special exotic wooden pot -

PURPLE HEART (note the relevance to Valentines ;) ) and Wenge lid.

The plaque will have my name and the date 14.02.14 on it along with the wax name.

To say I'm excited is an understatement [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH][THUMBS UP SIGN]

Well it arrived safe and sound and it looks even more beautiful in the flesh. Photos don't do it justice. Very, very pleased.

And my 3 BMD exotic wooden wax pots

You are so right it doesn't appeal to everyone.
But the results speak for themselves.

Hi all, ..I agree great pictures! ,,,and NOT simply referring to those pots of creamy wax as my fetish hasn't quite yet reached the stage when the potions are as captivating and knee trembling as the gleaming car itself !!

Who would have thought that when Mr Myagi first said "WAX ON, WAX OFF" it would have had such a profound effect and created the Obsessive Compulsory Disorder (OCD) that we now call Detailing :helpme:

I fear that it won't be long before that glimmering red Z' takes on a life of its own and demands that same amount of precise and detailed waxing of RCZ1 herself

..Will the Forum whips now confine me to the back bench forever for the mention of such intimacy in the house??. Im just saying that "You Are What You Drive", in the same way that a dirty car reflects on the owner ,,an immaculate one reflect likewise I'm sure!

.the big blue (a wannabe Master Detailer AND emailed from the cells due to attempting to bring the house into disrepute)!!
