My new RCZ R - Without Handbook !!!!

Went to Main Dealer in Chester for handover of my new RCZ R. The sales person I dealt with was himself faultless, really excellent.
However at the end he said he was sorry and told me there was no handbook, as someone must have taken or removed it.
Has anyone had the same experience ?.
In my working life I've had over 45 new Toyota's, company cars, fortunate I know, I've never had anything like this, the more I think about the more disappointed I am. The sales person has ordered one and said as soon as it's delivered he'll post it.
In the mean time I'll have to work it all out for myself.
Opinions help and suggestions welcome.

They can just order you a book pack, there is no difference between the RCZ R book pack and the standard RCZ models :)

Actually you can just look here on this site for the owners manual to keep you going ;)

I will resume the most important steps for you

Right pedal = accelerate (most important one)
Middle pedal = brake (not really necessary)

I had a similar issue, but with my six month old "R" bought from a main dealer.
The car was the Managers old run-around.
When I got home I realised the handbook was not in the car.
I phoned the dealer and they said they would order a new one, and post it on.
It costs about a tenner for them so they I guess were hoping I'd not notice.
Disappointingly I had to chase them a number of times, then finally got the item in the post.

Tony has provided a workaround for you in the interim with the link to the on-line version.

Like all new cars and gadget/Xmas pressies, I approached the "R" much like BigMac's subtle suggestion, i.e I didn't bother with any instructions, and just got on with figuring things out myself. Or if unsure came to this great forum for assistance. Although TBH, if you have got to the point where help is required here, then you are normally delving outside of anything you can find on the user manual.

Anyway, as I say I chased the manual down through the dealer, not because I needed it really, but mainly for when I come to sell the car.

Good luck, and chase them if something doesn't arrive soon. Bearing in mind how much you have paid for your shiny new RCZ, you shouldn't need to, but in my experience sometimes you do need to chase Pug dealers.

I read my owners manual pretty much from cover to cover when I got it but that's just me. Good luck figuring out the nuances of the air con without it, etc...!

I took my hand book out of the glove box to save room because the glove box is so small. Just a thought but have you lifted the boot floor and checked if yours has been dumped in the spare wheel well? I keep mine there so it's always with the car but not taking up room.

What nuances are you having with your a/c?

Oh, I'm not but without reading the page in the manual about it I think it can be quite confusing to understand - i.e dual/mono zones, Auto A/C, Comfort Level setting, etc...

Taking up room?

The RCZ has a 'special' hand book holder on top of the glove box.

(picture from the new308 but my RCZ has the same feature. :)

My glove box is so small I might only get 2 300ml drink cans in if lucky, as fuse box is also in that area.

Nope, no handy handbook holder in mine... you must have a special one!

I have glove box envy lol! Wish mine was that big... I think I'm right in saying you drive on the other side of the road so your fuse box doesn't get in the way of the glove box like it does on our right hand drive models.

It`s a Peugeot thing our last car had no handbook, just picked up a new one, no service book !!!

Here is the answer everyone.....had the same issue with an ex demo red carbon from Palmers in Watford. I am more than happy with the dealer, but they've been trying to source a handbook without success for 3 months. So I called Peugeot UK on the website phone number, and 2 days later had a call from Chloe to say there was one on the way at no cost.
