My new Asphalt!

Had my gorgeous silver Asphalt (Dec '2011) for a week and am loving it more every day. The purr! It's even better than I thought it would be. Would be interested in tips on maintaining the matte paint (have only washed it in warm water so far, still looking pristine), and also, it has 4 exhausts. Can't see any other RCZs with 4 exhausts so wondered if anyone knew if this meant it had been modified in some way. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the forum

The Asphalt is more Matte grey ... ;) but nice car all the same :)

You may find this thread useful for looking after the matte paint

Peugeot did a cleaning pack for the Asphalt but don't know if that was just for new car owners. Might be worth checking with your dealer. Maybe the last owner left it under the carpet in the boot. Have you checked there?

The 4 exhausts are quad exhausts, part of the feline pack that Peugeot offered for a time. The quads are Zunsport exhausts and there are quite a few owners on here who have quad exhausts. They don't add anything to performance. There are other exhaust options available that do offer performance enhancement so might just be worth checking RCZ Performance website to see if you can see yours on there to get a better idea of what you have. Also worth mentioning to your insurance company that you have them. Shouldn't add anything to your premium.

Enjoy your new car and don't forget to post some pics of your beauty when you get chance :)

Thanks Mrizzle, it just gets better! Dealer didn't even mention the feline kit.

Sounds like you scored twice then! I wouldn't be without my quad exhausts now I have them. They really finish the rear of the car and add symmetry to the double bubble roof. So...result!

A bit of a random question, I am going to Beaulieu at the National Motor Museum on 12th May and see there is a French car meeting thing!! And a competition!! Can't find reference to it on the forum but am SO going to enter, have to beat the other French cars... does anyone know about it?

Mrizzle, I noticed the symmetry when I first spotted the car and adored it, and really thought they must have been standard on Asphalts (this was the only one I saw in the 'flesh') until I looked at pics on web. Am so pleased with my choice as I was either buying this or for only about £1k less than a limited edition pearl white one (with black alloys) Best car I've driven, ever. Love the gear changes, the performance at around 4.5k revs, am turning into a petrol head...

Yes Starky! Intrigued as to cnontent of such kit and cost, let me know. dealer said just to wash in warm water! Like buying a dry clean only car... Had a minor heart attack today thought it had been scratched, closer inspection looks like a it's someone's chucked milkshake or bird poo... Oh and mine originated in Rochdale...
