Do you have any errors on a scan ? 12 v battery OK??? and is it constant on every startup? I get the OK oil level message all the time, however at the same time if I scan the BSI I have 040A Oil gauge fault DTC logged . I dont trust the electronic level check to be reliable , would always rather confirm levels using the dipstick.

thks Pali, In my 70s and would now prefer not to get into the scanning.
Battery has plenty of power to crank in a lively manner etc
Yes suddenly started always, v shortly after returning form a cambelt and water pump change from a bloke who turned out to be utterly awful, genuinely borderline Psy.... Evidence of driving my beauty into a kerb, complete with grind marks on immaculate rim and chip from tyre next to rim..

Cant go back as I dont have enough restraint....

Yes keeping an eye on fluids, thks....but miss that re-assuring message in the mornings

They can suffer with "Bugs" in the firmware it comes & goes on my 200 I have read posts where people have changed the sensor the oil pump the strainer in the sump & even the dipstick to no avail
The data states if its triggered if your oil level is approx. 75% lower than it should be which equals around 1 litre of oil to bring the level up to normal another anomaly is related to it being triggered by a warm engine faulty reading?

thks guys, think I shall just 'let it go' whilst doing traditional fluid checks.

Do we all still love the styling? - I just cant keep my eyes off....thinking of 'popping the question' if I get even more infatuated....!!
