Multiple Faults

Well I guess my happiness was premature... Heading down to Pitlochry for a weekend with the missus and before I get to dundee the cars beeping bout tipping up coolant (which is at Max)

Bringing the total number of weekend that the car has not been working as it should, in the garage etc to 15....

Guess its gonna be back on the blower to the garage..

Think it's probably safe to say at this point in time I wont really be considering a Peugeot again... Or at least not spending £25,000 on one again..

I'd like to post a string of experlatives but since this a family forum I'll refrain.... *sigh*

Oh man!!! That's an absolute travesty! Such a shame to hear all your woes, especially as you had fallen in live with the car so early on. Hopefully your problems are quickly rectified and that you get your car working in the manner that it ought to be!!!

Garage seems to be on holiday today so guess its tomorrow I'll be having a moan. It's not that the niggles bother me, every car has them and I can deal with that it just seems to be Everytime it goes into get a little thing rectified it either isn't or something new crops up immediately after..

It's just peeing me off that I'm paying for something thats not doing its job properly. If I acted the way the car has at work id be shown the door pretty quickly!

I'm with you on that one! Are these issues being taken care of under warranty and at no cost to yourself? I bloody hope so!!

Yeah it's all being done under warranty but I am having to fight tooth and nail to get courtesy cars arranged which ain't too handy when pugs 24 hour parts service seems to take 5 days minimum...

Hmmmm...that's not so good. I have had almost endless issues with "our local dealer". Perhaps it's worth giving Peugeot a shout to see if they can help you out? Did you find out about extended your service cover? Does this include "free" courtesy vehicles? :eusa-think:

mrizzzle I suspect most of us have issues with the main dealerships. If they could learn about customer service from say "Sainsbury's" for example, then we would see a huge difference.

If only they could be avoided! :eusa-think: :eusa-think: :eusa-think:

Oh bugger :police: :police: This is just crap.

Maybe Belmont have flagged up your number and just ignoring you :eusa-whistle: :eusa-whistle: sorry I shouldn't jest, I know you'll be raging right now.

Did you buy yours new Richard? The reason I ask is that, many years ago when my OH bought a brand new Focus ST from Arnold Clark (when they 1st came out) he had several issues with it, not long after taking delivery. He basically threw back the keys and demanded they give him a replacement. It worked.
When I had my bother with my RCZ suspension mounts, Steve told me I was quite within my rights to reject the car and seek a replacement, but thankfully my repair was successful.

It's just sh*te when the car you love (sad as it is) is not living up to your dreams. I guess there's a pig in every batch, it's just unfortunate it seems to be yours right now. You need to jump to the top of the ladder and get on to Pug themselves I think (taking a leaf out of Matts book) ... blag yourself some nice freebies along the way.

Finger's crossed it'll get sorted chum.

....In the meantime, dinna go keying me in Asda carpark or anything ... I can handly drool on a bonnet but that's about where the line is...... ;)

Afraid not mine was a 6 week old demo car as it had everything I wanted ready for pickup the next week.

It's booked up for Monday so looks like I'll be back in the swift...

Is there any chance I can just hand the car back to Peugeot (no finance with pug) and tell them to give me a replacement and fix it once and for all...

At this rate I'll be buying another rover for reliability

Well some new developments :)

Got a phone from Peugeot UK and their head of engineering is heading up to Aberdeen when my car is into the garage in a quest to fix my problems once and for all!

Hopefully this will be the end of the RCZ trials and I can get back to not just appreciating the cars looks :)

"TOP UP COOLANT LEVEL" flashed and went away.. I thought initially that maybe some apprentice has filled the coolant durin the service and a bubble would work its way out so wasn't bothered. When I got home I checked the service manual and realised the coolant wasn't looked at so I went to top it up only to realise that the level (when cool) was sitting perfectly. Now the temperature gauge rises from 50-90 and never stands still. Always going up and down.

I am not an expert but this happened to my audi A4 and it was a faulty water pump. Also can check for micro leaks in the cooling system (better check this first)
