I'm at a bit of a loss to explain why your diff would be making that noise every time you hit this speed range. This doesn't sound right to me but I'm not an expert in these. Perhaps someone else can provide more info. I've heard of them producing a sound referred to as "chatter" but never a whining sound. I initially thought that perhaps all you were hearing was the turbo whistle but perhaps someone can cast some light on this for us both. Anyone...?

I currently drive a FWD car with LSD fitted. There is some whining noise at low speed too. Not too bad. And the intensity of this "noise" also depends on the outdoor temperature. Sometimes it is louder, sometimes I don't hear it for weeks.

To be honest I got so used to that, I even don't mind it anymore.
