Has anyone else managed to achieve this or better?

I wish I could take photos that clearly.
Because of my poor photo you may have missed what I was asking.
My reading of 1200km is the range not the distance travelled or MPG.

I've had my range showing 935 after 70 miles.

Sorry thought you were after miles/kilometres per tank, the pictures are after doing the miles and then filling up.

Helps to have the car stationary when taking pics!

Taking pics hold the button a bit longer as it might then focus and then take pic.

If only I could have two rcz's like you Chris, I'd have the Diesel and the R.

With the diesel you have the beauty and the economy.

with the R you have the beauty and the power.

What a combination, such a beautiful workable machine.

I get about 420 a tank. If I drove sensibly probably more :)

I know it is not an RCZ, but the 1.6 HDi in the 5008 is amazingly frugal for its size and weight.
A tank will do 1,000kms approx 60litres.
I know, because our regular trips are either 250kms. or 500 kms, and return.
Half a tank to Madrid and back (250 kms each way) or to our holiday home in the south (500kms).
The readout shows usually 5.2 lp100km.
Impressive for a seven seater bus, eh?

That is impressive Stewart and Ian mine shows about 400 - 420 when I fill up but I usually get 370ish due to the heavy boots I wear. :eusa-whistle:

It quite amazes me that the French seem to produce the most frugal of engines, my second Picasso used to get regularly 65 - 67 mpg and for an oversized chicken egg - that was impressive, I miss that car - doh !

I am sure it is also a state of mind and journey type.
I forget the figures, but the Mondeo with the Duratorq old pre cdi engine sipped fuel and brought us from SE England to Western Spain, fully loaded with a consumption around the 5l p 100kms and cruising through France at 130kph.
The 407 2l hdi was ok on long runs but zapping about was not good, and the 108 Puretech 1.2 as a runabout is embarrassingly thirsty, but then the usual journey is a couple of kms each way to the local village.

I had once 1000km range on the BC while cruising in France. But then I reminded myself that I drive an R, shifted from 6th to 3rd and gave it some beans to wake up the engine
Range went down to 700km that instant.

My GTi achieved 736km on last tank which even included some motorway driving as I was late for a wedding. :eusa-whistle:

That is because Ford already uses PSA diesel blocks for many years...
It's such a shame that Volkswagen had to kill the image of these wonderfully efficient and clean machines.
