Manufacturing fault - HELP

I've had an ongoing issue with a paint repair but I now think this is caused by a design/manufacturing fault in the rear lights! I checked three different RCZ's at the weekend and they all have it! Could as many people as possible check the bottom corners of the rear lights where it touches into the bumper and let me know if it cuts into the paint. I'm currently in discussion with Peugeot but wanted to find out of its widespread, photos would be great! Over a period of time the light cuts into the paint and eventually it then lifts, combine that with a jet wash and off comes the paint!! Not great!!

Any help would be much appreciated!

I was in the same position as Abz. I was once a little careless and incurred this. Have you changed/upgraded the rear lights yourself or has anyone else?

One of the lights was replaced and so was the rear bumper, but that shouldn't mean that it always then had an issue!! It was fine when it came back but it happens over time....

It's never happened on my two previous RCZs. Both had 24k on the clock before being sold.

Have you got a photo of the problem?

Mine has 42k now! It was fine before somebody kindly ran in to me and it had to go in for repair so the lights were refitted, one was new.

I'm sure it's how the lights are fitted back but I've seen it on 3 others now..

You have had the lights out and the bumper replaced you say because of an accident. The video particularly, shows me that this is nothing to do with the lights. Along the lip of the opening of the boot and further along, looks more like a dodgy paint repair. As with the area around the lights.

Yep it was and it went back and has been redone. The lights are now cutting in again. The pics are from other rczs

Quite honestly Perky, this looks more or less how I'd anticipated if someone had been careless in removing the light unit. It looks (to me) as if someone has used the the bodywork to lever the light up too forcefully, particularly in the first picture. This isn't a manufacturer fault, it's careless removal of the light unit in my opinion.

Having read the posts reference paint around rear lights, It made me check mine last night and upon closer inspection I noticed I am having the same problem with paint starting to peel in the bottom corner :? never noticed it before, I have not replaced any of the light clusters or had them out and do not know if the previous owner did

Metal industry is elaborated so far in last few decades. Therefore you can have many options as solutions to your problem. I Think you should consult an expert for this or search on internet.
