Manual transmission oil change?

So I checked out in my 2011 RCZ THP156 that it had done manual transmission oil change at 62 000km but then couldn’t find anything else on that maintenance book and car has been driven now 170 000km, could I still drop them oils and put new oil in? Or is too late already and I should not do it to avoid problems like gears starting slipping because of the new oil etc? Gears are still shifting perfectly aka I don’t have no problems at all, could it be that previous owner have changed those oils by themself and that’s why there isn’t no notes on that maintenance book?
Could I drop those oils and check if it already has metal shavings and is burned and dark colored aka isn’t that indication that it’s too far gone and I shouldn’t change those oils?

They told me at an official Peugeot garage that the oil in the manual transmission did not have to be changed throughout the life of the car.

That usually means their warranty period and they’ve washed their hands of responsibility. I just changed mine at 60k. Dunno if it was done previously but I did it regardless. If it gets to 100k I’ll do it again

I'd recommend to change it again.
If you wait until it get dark and having metal shavings in it, it will be too late. Oil wears out, especially the additives which get "crushed" by the gearbox's cogs day by day. At the end it is so much cheaper to change it then to replace a gearbox.
