Hi All,

Just to let you know I have had a major fuel leak from my RCZ charcoal filter housing.

This could have a potential fire explosion risk under the right conditions.

Peugeot may carry out a recall for this problem, but to see if you have the problem yourself.

Fill your fuel tank full until the hose clicks once, then have a look underneath the vehicle to see if the fuel is pouring out of the charcoal filter housing......................... if it is you wont miss it believe me...

My problem has gotten Peugeot France involved its that big I think...

Just something to watch for...

Where is this "Charcoal filter" and does it apply to the HDI?

Mines all good. As when I was painting my calipers, I had a little look around and noticed where the pipe was from the filler cap to the tank. Bone dry.

Despite reading the post and noting the obvious. Ie. Half full to first click. I still fell for this

Hi All,

if you get on your hands and knees and look under the car from the passenger side, you will see about mid chassis just to the rear of the rear seat bulk head a black shaped box with a round hole about 15 to 20 mm in diameter.

that is the inlet for the charcoal filter according to the technician at the garage.

if you fill you car full of fuel to one click on the hose and have a look under that area if the car is ok no fuel will be pouring out all over the floor or garage forecourt in front of the fire brigade as I had ****** how embarrassing*****

RON, Yes I think all the RCZ's have this fitted its basically the air inlet for the fuel tank to stop it cavetating as you suck the fuel out (imploding)

I'll post more as I get to know, ill see if I can get a picture for you all too.

Well after 6 weeks my car has finally returned.

She looks beautiful as ever, apart from the shine is attracting the birds to poo on it now

She is running well, now the wife has someone to contend with and the black beast doesn't moan at me lol

It just growls when the right foot goes down. Love it to bits

Glad to hear your love affair had been rekindled after a rather unsettling start
