Back in May (couple of months after buying) I took my car to the main dealers as they had told me the Temp Sensor mod hadn't been done. When I picked it up, they told me the new sensor was in fact already fitted, so they hadn't done any work to my car. As part of the experience they also did a full health check on my car. All was green apart from an amber for the front tyres and, alarmingly, a red for a 'Large Hole in Exhaust and Mounting/Hanger Corroded'. This came as quite a shock as the car didn't sound like it was blowing. I assumed they were slightly exaggerating and that the small hole would make itself known in due course.
Fast forward to a few days ago when I finally got round to replacing the front tyres. I took advantage of the opportunity and inspected the underside of the car along with the fitter. No signs of any holes, in fact the whole system looked in great shape.
Bit miffed by this I fired off an email to Peugeot who forwarded it on to the Main Dealer. Got a rather shitty reply back telling me the hole was there, and they could prove it as they had taken a picture. The picture did indeed show a massive hole in someones exhaust, but there's no way that could have been my car as it would have been blowing like a Lady in Dam! Looked at the properties for the picture, right day but 2 hours before I dropped off my car.
He also went on to tell me that my car had been repaired in the midlands in early March, which also can't be true as I've owned the car since January.
Ironically I used to design Exhaust systems and worked for PSA on the early prototypes for the RCZ.. I'm currently awaiting a reply, hopefully the tone of which will be slightly more apologetic!
