Hi guys,

I've found this product on eBay which is a mix of Carnuba wax and PTFE. I have found it excellent.
Even though I had the Peugeot protect it is so easy to apply.

Comes with a good set of other valeting products and leaves a great finish. Cleans really well as well.

So easy to apply and as said a great finish.

Even persuaded my dad to use on his classic XK Jag (believe me that's an achievement.)

I love the finish really quick and should build yup a great protection.

Combine this with the Topaz for my black arches and absolutely perfect.

Topaz of course http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281667889195? ... EBIDX%3AIT

You don't have to take my word for it, but I am seriously impressed.

All the best,

Andy.

Topaz is brilliant not only on the black roof arches but also all black trim like the scuttle panel, front and rear splitters as well as the paintwork.

Interesting polish / wax. Not heard of that particular one but I have something similar in my arsenal. Lots of waxes coming to the market now that contains PTFE.

We need to see photos too :)

Yeah no worries, was getting dark just after finishing.

I always get my car done at the local hand car wash. They do a fantastic job, much faster than I could.

Then had the puncture repair and started on the polish. Just have bonnet and boot left to finish. It seems to remove any excess dirt/grease/ tyre shine with ease and doesn't leave any residue.

Shall try to finish tomorrow. Being taken out to lunch (hard life) and then post some pics.

As a bonus, this stuff of course is supposed to last. My new favorite for sure.

They're excellent, do a fantastic job.

Would never use a mechanical wash but these guys are really good.

Sorry to keep singing their praises but, they are friendly quick, £7.00 for the outside and seem to do loads of high end cars in the area.

And I am becoming more multilingual with each visit (joke, oh political correctness.)

I like a lot of Est European men getting sweaty and doing a good job on my car.

Any issues, let me know.

Well, that stumped you all didn't it.

I still think the guys do a job worthy of probably nearly £20.00.

I'm after a young penthouse pet. Shouldn't be too difficult should it?

Peace and love,

Andy.

I think the general consensus is that these places are little better than a brush type car wash. It's the items they rub along your paintwork you should check. Then there's the water cleanliness and of course the products which could have stripped your Peugeot paint protection already. If you see a sponge in use then it's too late for sure.
From what I've heard their not too careful with the stuff on your car, biggest one I heard a friends wife took an Alfa to one, they forced the wipers so badly it cost hundreds to repair and when you drive away you have no comebacks at all. I would doubt you have any rights at these things anyway.
Or perhaps your just winding us all up

Cheers 2 retro, that would be perfect.

Still gonna say they do a pukka job and are always busy. But of course will take on board your points everyone.
I always do the inside myself by the way.

Of course the car wash in Dodge ball (the very hot female bikini one) would work.

Andy.

I refuse to make any jokes about paying for a hand job when I enjoy doing it so much myself :eusa-whistle:

Never mind the sponge ... the boys near me do loads of high end motors but not mine . You can see microns of paint coming off every time. Pressure washer at point blank range. No thanks
