Hi Folks

I am new to the forum, like it very much. Got my RCZ in January (200GT) Quad pipes love it.
Unfortunately I have lost the tick on the indicators. Anyone had this problem

Welcome to the forum :)

Not heard of anyone losing the tick on the indicators. Think a visit to your dealer is required.

Thanks for that RCZ1 will take your advice, as I am not even sure where the sound should come from, and do not wish to disturb the dash hunting for it.

I seem to remember reading in the manual that the indicator tick will get louder if it's left on for any length of time, or if you go over a certain speed or something. Just as a reminder that they're left on. That suggests to me that they're under computer control so definitely a trip to the dealer.

Welcome along.

I have to say, the clicker isn't very loud at the best of times. It could have died though.

Once the music is up just a bit too much, I can't see the light thru the wheel and I can't hear the clicker.

I've realised a few times now my quick swipe at the stalk actually took hold, so for minutes I've been driving with the indicator on. It is one annoying flaw in the user interface. :)

Well folks been forced to put the car in to garage, we now have a temperature sensor fault. So the lost tick in on the repair list. All under warranty thank goodness. Should get it back on Monday !!!

Well hopefully they'll quickly rectify both those issues. I'd be interested to learn of what has led to your "tick" going AWOL and of the solution!

Hi Folks
Got the car back today, supposed to be completed last Monday, but the engine temperature issued proved to be deeper than first thought. Engine temp module had to be replaced, apparently sited inside the engine accessed via the sump. Once this was change it was found to also have a fault in the water housing???
This had to be ordered and fitted, completed this morning. The fault with the indicator tick, could not be found by the garage. I was told when I picked up the car that it worked every time they tried it. It is still not working, as it is an intermittent problem it is hard to argue, but I suspect they have not looked at it as the other problem took over and they probably forgot, and when challenged it was easier to say it was ok when they checked.
Glad to have the RCZ back and will do without the tick for a little longer, so I can enjoy the drive!
Mrizzle I will post when I finally get the Tick resolved.

Seems to be a general French design problem, because I often drive in France and can see French drivers follow me for many, many kilometers (for you U.K. people, that's roughly many, many miles :eusa-whistle: ) with the indicator on.

Hi Folks

Found the Tick. After the garage did not find any problems, I decided it was time to investigate myself. After unscrewing the steering column cover (two screws underneath and with the top clipping into the bottom cover) I got access to the wires leading to the sounder, a little wriggle of the wires identified the problem wire. Bad connection tightened up wire to socket and everthing is fine

Another one for the customer  and a minus (yet again) for the main dealerships

I'm glad that YOU (quite literally) got to the bottom of the problem. Shame on the dealership for not having investigated the wiring. I would have thought that that was a fairly obvious first point of call. Anyway, glad she's got her tick back and good work by you!
