If wrapper feels joy in abusing or trying to make others feel bad, then.
I really do hope you find Peace with yourself and get better soon.

Kind regards,

Andy.

(and no I'm not joking)

I have to say, I've been on a few car forums in the past and they're usually very helpful to each other, so I have to say that this is a first for me on here with regards to individuals spitting venom for no reason other than for the sake of it.

It doesn't put me off but I can see it putting others off coming on for fear of being ridiculed for asking a question or saying something.

I absolutely agree, I don't know why this is the case?
In the past I have never come across this either. I, as have said just hope these (trolls) find life.

People who think they're being funny when they're just obnoxious or argumentative, do they bring anything constructive or knowledge base to help others ? I don't think so.

I know that speed is a big thing to many people, but my 200 is pretty damn quick, even compared to most things I have encountered on the roads.

Most of the time, you can only go as fast as whatever your following anyway, and the acceleration of my 200 is easily quick enough to go round almost anything if the opportunity arises.

For me, it's looks that are the most important with any car I have had. I have discovered in the past that a great looking slow car can eventually become tiresome, but how anyone can consider the Z as a slow car is beyond me.

I have driven a 156 and at the time, I thought it was extremely quick. I then bought a 200 and I was pretty gobsmacked!

I have never been in an R, and I know if I did, I would probably need spare pants, and yes, I would be amazed and might even want one, but to be honest, the 200 is more than quick enough for the roads I use regularly.

I am not interested in racing anyone in a hot hatch. I know that a skyline would leave me for dead or a Golf R would dissapear into the distance, but to me, they just don't have the appeal/looks/charisma of the Z.

But to say the reason people are disappointed in the Z is because they thought it was going to be fast

I thought it was going to be fast, and guess what, it is :D

I can confirm that the R is a very quick machine. The police agree with me too ! However that has taught me a great lesson and was probably just what I needed. Yes we can all enjoy our cars and try and see what they can do on normal roads as much as possible, yet it's all too easy to lose your licence in a split second. It doesn't mean I driving like a granny but in a more controlled manner.

My other two RCZs were both 156 models and I always found them to be surprisingly quick. You need to get to know your car, how to drive it to get the best out of it but it will reward you every time. It surprised many other drivers with its turn of speed. Drop it to third to get the revs up and put your foot down. The thrill was superb.

The thrill from the R is even more awesome. The RCZ, in my experience, surprises many people, who just dismiss it as "another French car". I considered other cars before buying my R but none of them gave me the same feeling as looking at my R. It's got the looks AND the power and for me is everything I want in a car.

A fine replacement d_taylor. These are still cracking cars. The cup edition is the one to go for. Tell me, does yours also make that slightly irritating beep when it wants you to change up a gear? Is your interior the yellow one? I really enjoyed my test drive in one and, as you say, it's a real driver's car. It really likes to be pushed and it rewards you for doing so.

Yes its the 265 cup with red seat belts/stitching and they do beep to change gear, not that i've taken it that far yet. Just added RS**CUP number plates today which finish it off.
Loved the RCZ200 I had and enjoyed the engine, just did my head in with the rebound through the steering wheel and it seemed to "skip" up the road, on bad roads.Even test drove another before I sold just to see if it was any different but it wasn't. Alas it wasn't to be.
As for people saying French build quality/reliability is poor....load of rubbish, no different to any other marque IMO.
Keep up the good work and brilliant designs Peugeot & Renault (etc)

My exact experience too, and the only real disappointment with an otherwise wonderful car. Glad to hear you've test driven another to confirm, you unwittingly saved me the trouble as it is (well, was!) something I keep meaning to do.

Nice choice of replacement, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
