Limp mode

Twice this has happened within the last 3 weeks, from i cold start goes into some sort of limp mode after a few hundred yards no warning lights.
drive back to home second gear. leave it for 20 minutes drive off its ok.
Any thoughts what it culd be. ?

Get it scanned suspects could be MAF-Map sensors even Atmospheric temp sensor- Throttle position & boost are potentials however its a safe bet that the ECU is getting inaccurate data & dropping off to sleep aka Limp mode
Stupidly it could be also triggered by low fluid levels like oil & coolant ?
