OK, so picture the scene... car is warmed up nicely and growling like a tiger in heat. I am scything through traffic like a hot knife through butter. It's running like dream and leaving lesser motorists in its wake!
Thinking it's a week until Xmas and only going to get busier everywhere I decide to fill up with petrol. So I pull in to the petrol station and fill up the tank.
Back on the road and immediately it's like I'm driving an 850 Mini from 1965! No turbo and very little power... which I guess is 'Limp Mode'?
At this point I'm thinking 'WTF?! and 'OMFG!!!' and other more colourful words whilst wondering if I just destroyed my engine! No error message on screen or fault log... :helpme:
Luckily after a 5 - 10 miles of driving like a tractor all power was suddenly restored, my sphincter unclenched and it was business as usual again.
That was just weird though!!
Has anyone else experienced anything similar because I never have. Maybe there was a blockage in a fuel pipe? Maybe the tank was too full? Any ideas welcome!
Thank you.
