anyone done any 2026 compliant main lighting upgrades? - I have the Halogen set up, despite being a Gt model - never thought to check when buying .. They are hopeless unfortunately and I would upgrade instantly if safe and legal

Looks like MOT rules prohibit Any headlight tech upgrades....

Whilst not ideal, it appears supplementary mini LED bars may be legal (main beam) but even if true, that still leaves dip beam and road edge lighting inadequacy

I have Auxito led bulbs in both mine and they have mot’d with them no issues twice each. It does make a big difference to visibility, and now I can join the ranks of al, the newer cars blinding me.

Which models,
were adapter rings needed
on the HDi, is there adequate access to fiddle about / accommodate fan unit extensions
on the RCZ halogen set up, what bulbs are there and what do they do, eg is there a main / dip combo bulb in addition to main beam
Any inter action with RC onboard diagnostics / CAM Bus
Does anyone flash u when u r on dip / is beam fully controlled / do bulbs need critical positioning / rotation tweaking?

I attach here a link for anyone else interested

Whilst technically these may not b approved, frankly, driving with halogens against a wall of oncoming LEDs, often set high up on SUVs make it almost impossible to drive - suddenly hitting a surprise ultra sharp edged deep pothole totally obscured, is hear breaking if u love your car...

……you an ex copper?🤭

Auxito, no adaptor rings, no cooling fan - incorporated heat sink so direct replacement for the H7.
They are a direct size and shape replacement so as long as seated correctly (same as standards) there are no alignment issues and the beam pattern is just as should be….just brighter.
No flashing etc, from oncoming drivers, tho if ‘others’ forget to dip and get flashed from them, they very quickly catch on.
Info on them quotes 5 years lifespan, reality expect 3 ish (from experience).
Onboard diagnostic, pushing the trip reset on the clocks, can identify headlight bulb issue, but no held lights on the dash whilst driving. I have also added led strip which incorporates drl and sequential indicator which carry’s enough resistive load to the headlight to negate the need for adding ballast resistors ref fault code.

i live out in the sticks, they make a heck of a difference, and like I said, I have them in two cars, both been through mot twice with them fitted with no comments made. The link below is for the ones I have used, but of course other makes are available.
