Nice. I have some of this stuff myself actually, just haven't got around to fitting it yet. I assume it was pretty simple to install?

Sort of. It’s supposed to just push into gaps, but it tends to not go in easily if the gap is really tight, and falls back out if the gap is too big.
I ended up using a very small amount of glue to hold it in place, especially the ends, but trying to make sure it wouldn’t be noticeable if I decided to remove the strip.

I messed about with it in the door cards, but found it either didn’t fit, or fell out, as described above. :(

Still not sure how much I like it, I might take it back off. :eusa-think:

I’ve not used this trim before but I’ve heard you can apply it better if it’s been warmed up first like in a bowl of hot water

When I was installing it it was 27 degrees outside & nearly 40 in the car, hence the air con set to 18. I know this type of thing is more flexible when warm though, so good call.

I think it would be better if it had some sort of adhesive strip attached, but then it would be tricky pushing it into the places it’s designed for.

Got mine on today. Took about 45 mins and pretty happy with the results (no glue required).

I agree with previous post.

Nice job must have taken an age, plenty of patience.....

might look nice on my R with the red stitching or could be to much ?? :eusa-think: :eusa-think:

It was actually pretty easy. Just used a credit card to open the gap enough to push the rubber bit of the trim in and worked my way around before cutting off the other end at the right length.

Very nice job. It would be interesting to see if it can handle temperature changes throughtout the year.

BTW, where do you get his stuff from?

Guess we will find out how it performs in the coming months but it was literally a couple of quid delivered so if it fades or falls off it's no big deal really (but hopefully it will be OK). I'll dig you out a link to buy it.
