As I've mentioned before, I've the extended warranty for my Z. Despite the fact I'm using the Z as Part-X, I was looking to sort out any issues before moving to the new car. Last problems were oil leaks. One from the Turbo. Spotted during MOT, sorted one week later, as was the fastest I could manage to book the car in. After realize the poor assembling when collected the car (mentioned in other post). After cleaning the engine bay, a bit of Z owner OCD, I must admit, noticed some oil on the top of the engine. Booked again. The mechanic, with the worst attitude tried to convince me that it's possibly old oil running from somewhere. Advised to wash again and check if any more oil appears. Luckily the Service Manager was together and decided to keep the car for checks, as she argued with the mechanic that isn't supposed to have any oil leaking from the engine. Once clean, should stay clean.
The only reason I'm posting this is, have the b***s to make justice to the dealer. The Service Manager seems to be working hard to sort the things out. The problems is the crap mechanics. In every check a different diagnostic. Clearly the dealer need to move a bit faster and sort this out. I believe that the dealer can increase his sales if the service when needed is well executed, and if the service is well executed, it can justify the dealer's prices.
Seems like dealers, in general (any badge) is quite a lottery nowadays.
