Hi everyone.

Great to read everyone is either very thrilled with their RCZ or eagerly anticipating the arrival of their little dream!

Ordered ours 2 weeks ago, & it's an agonizing wait till 1st Nov....well, that's hoping we dont have it put back.

Have ordered a Nera Black 2.0l HDi GT with 19" Sortilege wheels. Integral lama leather (pale grey), Sat Nav, Vision Pack & black calipers.

Really fancied pearlescent white, but apparently horrendously costly & difficult to repair stone chips due to the 7 layers of paint, which was a disappointment, but hey, I'm still thrilled with the black! I do have a minor niggle though, why are these cars not built with integral DRL, especially as all new cars will be required to have them by law come 7th Feb 2011. The RCZ would look even more amazing with them! Enjoy your stunning cars everyone!!! :p

Welcome to the forum :greetings-wavingblue:
And congratulations on a great choice.

With regards to the pearl white - if its got seven layers of paint then I would have thought it would be almost impossible for a stone to cause any damage

I've ordered the pearl white and I don't understand why you say its very expensive - If I remember rightly, it was only slightly more than the metallic paint - well worth the money in my opinion :) I'm sure you will be really pleased with your black GT - the time will go by quite quickly.

Hi RCZ1

Thanks for the welcome.

Very good point you make about the 7 layers of paint being stoneproof-had'nt thought of that. It was actually the salesman we bought RCZ from who told us this, and that if you should require a respray on the bonnet for example, it would have to be taken to a sprayer who specialises in pearlescents, & would cost either 3 or 5k-cant remember which. There again, as you said, would you ever need a respray???? Great point, thanks for that!!! Maybe he was trying to put us off for some reason?

Oh well, we are actully pleased with our choice in so much as we wanted the light grey integral lama keather & think the black/grey would be a nice contrast!

By the way, have just read with great interest about the 'quad' tail pipes. Pics look amazing & I'm straight over to my dealer to arrange getting them.

Your car will look stunning...Enjoy!!!
Thanks again RCZ1.

Thanks for the info DRWHO BLUE GT, have asked dealership not to disconnect the DRL's, as apparently they do when the cars arrive. Do like the look of the LED DRL's but will stick to what the car comes with.

It's such an agonisingly long wait tho!!!
